After explaining where everyone is we make our way down to the graveyard.
"Mom, Dad, we're here!" I call out while holding some presents the twins had brought along with some food.
"Oh great! Everyone's here then"
"I'm glad you could make it, I'm Mike, Ashlyn's dad" He goes and shakes her hand
"Yes me too. I'm Mariana. Thanks for inviting us." she smiles at him, exchanging a handshake. "It's a shame my husband couldn't make it-" At that moment I could feel Tyler and Taylor stiffen
"Unfortunately, he's at work" She added "...Or at least I thought he was...? He should've been home hours ago."
Suddenly she was interrupted when Taylor randomly exclaimed and pointed to the distance "M-Mom! Look a bunny!"
The twin's mom stood quiet before speaking up with a smile "It's cute."
"I want to pet it." Lily spoke up
"You want me to catch it for you?" Aiden turned to Lily
"You can catch it?"
"Of course I can! Just watch."
Oh my...
"IT'S NO MATCH FOR ME!" Aiden zooms after the bunny and I go and step ahead of it
Not much after, I'm holding the bunny in my hands while Lily pets its head
"It there anything you want to do, Lily?"
"How about red light green light?"
"Can we play hide and seek?"
We played for a few hours, before getting tired. Getting into the late night, we sat in the not so silent bus graveyard with nothing to do. The twins were on a stack of tires, I was sitting- on my phone, Lily sat in Ben's lap as him and Logan played cards, Aiden sat on an old car, while he scrolled through his phone.
The grown-ups sat and chatted about us and other things adults talk about...whatever that is
Tyler was getting annoyed. "Do they not realize how late it is? It's almost midnight."
Well good thing we planned ahead for this..
"Alright, let's go." I paused momentarily. "Hey, dad, we're going to the bus real quick to grab something. We'll be back in a minute."
"Alright."
Ben handed Lily to her mother, and we went on our way.
