"I found another card" Taylor spoke up
"Put it in the pile over there."
Since Tyler and Aiden are somewhat out of commission, me and the others went out to scout for more cards and anything else useful while they stayed behind and went over the documents we found.
On the way back we discussed about how the dimensions seemed to change since we've been here. We don't know how or why the bag Ben had was still on when our bodies reset locations.. but since we still had the same weapons as well, we assumed that anything we have on our person is considered 'part of us'... or something like that. We haven't worked out all the details just yet.
But I'm guessing it works vice versa. When time stops, obviously, there are people still walking around even at at 12am.
Suddenly, my thoughts were cut off as we heard Tyler on the walkie talkie
"Guys..." He paused momentarily before speaking up "Our parents are here..."
Everyone frozed and look at each other.
None of us said anything but it felt as if we read other's mind saying, Is he serious?
The words rang in my head. What the hell does he mean 'our parents are here'??
That means... They lied.
Pfft- as if that's surprising. All they do is lie. That makes this 10 times worse. How are we supposed to know what they tell us is a lie or not? Better to just assume we can't trust them at all.
We found out that they are a floor below us. However- to access our files require a higher clearance. It's more than just a bit sketchy... Why are they keeping our parents here?
But if one thing is clear... It's that we can't trust these people.
Alex enters the room. He walks over to me and places a shit strap with multiple circle ends.
"What's this for?" I ask
"To read your brainwaves. They said they were trying something today, I'm not sure what though" His head perks up as somebody knocks on the door.
"You done? We'll take her from here." Another dude enters the room with a woman standing at the door.
Who is they supposed to be?
They lead me down the hall. After the woman scans her card she turns to me.
"Go on in."
As I walk in my ears ring. My eyes widen as I meet the gaze of what seemed to be a human... but not. They made the same sounds as the phantoms. Even looked like them. But had human flesh and hair.
...What the hell is this?
"Ms. Banner," My head turns to the intercom "We would like for you to interact with the infected"
What. Are they crazy? Mentally ill?? That thing will take my head off if I get any closer.
