As I watch Taylor mumble, "It's that guy again," I can already feel the tension rising.
Tyler's got that look in his eyes, the one he gets when he's ready to confront someone. He cuts her off, "Yeah, yeah, I got it," and strides over to the guy. The dude immediately stops yelling, like Tyler's got some kind of magic switch that just flips people off. I can't help but wonder if that's just confidence or something else entirely.
I glance over at Logan, who looks more than a little rattled. Tyler shoots back at him, "After being around those things every night, you're seriously scared of him? Pathetic."
My stomach tightens at his words. Seriously, Tyler? That's low, even for you. I see Taylor's reaction before she even says anything.
"Tyler! Not cool!" she snaps at him before rushing to Logan's side, gently checking out his bruised cheek. There's this soft, protective side to Taylor that always surprises me. She's not just comforting him; she's trying to piece him back together.
Then I notice Aiden and Ben slipping away from the group. Where were they going? It's not like Aiden to just wander off, especially when things are tense like this. My mind starts racing with possibilities, none of them good. Are they up to something?
Is Aiden trying to keep Ben out of trouble, or is it something else entirely? I can't help but feel a little uneasy, a knot forming in my gut as I wonder what they're planning.
