Ambrose's povRAGE FILLED MY BONES AS I stared at Opal, his skin was dull. He was practically all bone a week ago, the barrier nearly sucked the life out of him. Thanks to Jesse and Halen's help they were able to regain a bit of fat on his body in such a quick time.
When he passed out in Florian's arms I felt possession come over me and I immediately had his bedroom linked to ours, the building took no more than two days. He would have to deal with being in such proximity to us, that I couldn't stand the sight of his body losing color or the sound of his heart losing its rhythm.
I was so against him being exorcised after that but the same priest the elders recommended did it with ease that same night, Opal's demon side had weakened because Opal had been dying in Florian's arms.
I grabbed his wrapped wrist gently and kissed it. A small growl came from me when Halen entered the room.
Florian gave me a small kiss on the neck to calm me down. Yet I was very adamant about it just being the three of us, what did this Verdanthelian want?
"The exorcism has brought a lot of strain on him, we're giving him the medication he needs and all the IV that will help but he's weak and the fact that drugs were found in his system isn't helping the process of recovery."
I gripped the glass of water next to me and threw it at Halen. Standing up I felt myself transforming into a dragon. Halen let out a squeak and ran out of the room.
"Darling, calm down... they're trying their best," Florin whispered, grabbing my hands. I looked down at his slim fingers and kissed them, taking a deep breath, and nodded.
"You should get some rest, love." I brought him to my chest, kissing his forehead." The eye bags sporting under his eyes were dark and heavy.
"I cannot."
"Opal will be fine." I kissed his temple.
"Our little fairy has been through so much..." he sniffled. I shook my head, agreeing with him. "Yes, yes he has but our boy is strong, so very strong."
I stared at Opal, his wings glowed a beautiful white, and no fairy here had glowing wings. But he did, the tips of his wings were a beautiful gold.
His demon had tainted his wings, held him in shackles, and hurt him. Now he's free.
Opal's pov
I opened my eyes slowly, my vision was a bit blurry but it started to clear in a few blinks. I felt a sting on the back of my neck. I flinched stiffly and reached my hands to the back of my neck, shakily.
