Opal's pov

I ENDED UP GETTING A nice rest, I was exhausted after dinner, and with Ambia sleeping on the floor beside me because she was scared I would disappear after what I told her, it was sort of easier to sleep.

I woke up to Moo Moo by my side and Bee hugging me as she went off to school, I was half asleep when Ambia was pulling me out of bed.

"I got you warm bath water in the bathtub, hurry before it gets cold!" She warned me.

Florian's voice echoed in my head, I wasn't supposed to get my wings wet. Ambia handed me something. It was the same necklace attached to the shirt I was wearing.

"It was delivered as soon as Bee left, Halen said to wear the necklace instead of the shirts, and he sent a new wardrobe as well." She helped me snap the necklace around my neck.

It fit just like a collar which made me snort.

They've got me feeling like a freaking pet.

I grabbed my chore clothing Ambia gave me and stomped to the bathroom. She chuckled lightly. "Don't be too upset, kid! I have to work a full day at the Barrier if it makes you feel better!" She yelled from the kitchen.

I scrubbed my body and rinsed off the suds, I repeated the same pattern twice and dried off, my wings dripped water but they didn't seem bothered.

I got dressed and took a look at the looking glass.

I nearly gagged at my reflection.

I looked like I was going to school!

The shorts... socks.. tucked shirt.

I shook my head in disapproval and untucked my shirt, instead of the big bulky shoes they demanded we wear, and switched them with my loafers.

After I finished I met Ambia in the kitchen.

Ambia slid a plate of bacon and eggs at me. I sat down and said nothing, giving her a small thanks with my smile I dug in, finishing in less than five minutes.

She looked back and her eyes widened. "Big appetite, huh?" I nodded, taking huge gulps of the strange nectar juice she gave me. "Trauma dumping is draining, next time you ask me something and it's sad we have to eat over it," I grumbled.

Ambia laughed.

"Got it."

There was a knock on the door, after two more knocks it opened and Saide was standing in the doorway looking at the both of us.
