Opal's pov
I OPENED MY EYES TO see that I was in a bed? There were clear wires in my arms leaking fluid from me. Or giving..? I grabbed my head letting out a small whine.
I looked back at the wires, they led to a tall-looking pole thing that bags were hanging from.
What type of technology..?
It smelled earthy and fresh, a better smell than anything I've smelt in the last couple of years. Xazenthlieth was known for its factory smell around the country, we were known for making products and sending them places, that's why we had so many factories around.
I looked around the place, it seemed as though I was in a tree. Like an actual hollow tree?! It had oval-shaped windows with beautiful green curtains. The windows didn't seem to have any glass, just the format of one.
I felt squeaky clean too, there wasn't any built-up dirt under my nails or ash on my face, my hair wasn't itching and there were no knots in it.
WAIT.
I pulled the blanket off of me, my leg was fully healed, and only a small light scar was left behind. I had been stabbed. Ambia died. MooMoo was lost. And Bee...
I attempted to move my legs but they felt very tingly and sore, painfully sore. I grunted in pain but kept pushing. I looked to my side to see a scalpel. I grabbed it quickly and flung my legs over the bed.
I bit my bottom lip and squeezed my eyes shut trying not to make any noise. I stood up and let out a small yelp.
I knew I shouldn't be walking but whoever brought me here... it's creepy. And I needed to find out where I was, who helped me, and WHY.
The pole rolled, following me as I took small steps. The polished wooden floor of this tree-looking house was smooth. I'd probably lay on it if I could. The opening of the tree was covered by a cloth-looking thing.
Before I could pull it back I came face to face with a fairy, he was pretty buff, almost the same height as me, and had sparkly pink wings.
I pointed the scalpel towards him and he squealed out, holding his hands up nervously.
"Tell me where the hell I am or I'm going to fucking kill you," I growled. My legs shook as I inched closer to him.
"Please do calm down! I wish not to hurt you at all haha! No seriously please, I'm scared of sharp things." He laughed nervously.
