25- they cheat- Mike

You were one of the liars and after Alison went missing, you, Hanna and Mona became the most popular girls in school. You didn't know why Hanna wanted to be, it was probably something to do with Alison now that she was gone. But you knew Mona position before as a 'loser' and you understood why she enjoyed the attention. You never really wanted to be popular, but you just sort of fell into the role alongside them, since you were such good friends.

You and Mona had been friends a lot longer than you and the others. Even when Alison befriended you, you stayed close, despite Alison attempts to ruin her life. You were the only one to stick up for Mona, whilst the others watched.

That's why it hurt so much when Mona was revealed as A. she was sent to Radley and although you hated her for what she had done, you visited. You would sit and talk to her, sort of glad she didn't respond. You would tell her about her day, tell her random gossip you had heard and asked her about how she was. It was as if you were trying to get back your friendship. The doctors that were there helped, knowing what you talked about with Mona. They booked you in to see a counsellor, who helped you through the betrayal.

When she left you didn't talk for a while, not quite trusting her. But then she ended up in the same position as you, Emily, aria, spencer and Hanna. You became friends again, forgiving her before the others. It was like old times, only you knew Mona was a victim of A now.

You met mike a long time ago, whilst at arias house. He seemed nice and over time you saw more and more of him. Now you saw him almost every day. The two of you were close, even better friends than you and the liars. However you wanted it to be more. You couldn't deny how attractive he was and how amazing his personality was. He was perfect.

He never dated anyone, neither did you. That's why you started to wonder if maybe your feelings were mutual. It would explain why he didn't date, spending time with you instead. You spoke to Mona about this, asking her opinion. At first she told you she thought mike liked you back, but then her opinion changed. You asked her why, thinking he may have said something. But she always replied with 'it's just a feeling'.

Then one day you went over to Mona's house, meeting up before school like you did every day. You were walking up her drive when you spotted her and mike on her doorstep. They were laughing about something and were unusually close. You told yourself they were just friends that it was good they were getting along. But then he leant down, pressing his lips against hers.

You left, tears flooding down your face. It shouldn't hurt that much, that's what you told yourself. He didn't know about your feelings. You were just friends. Maybe if you had told him things would be different. It would be you in his arms.

But she knew. The person who had betrayed you and tried to ruin your life. The person who found out who you loved and took them from you. Mona never seemed to be your friend. Yet you forgave her over and over again for her actions. Why? Maybe it was pity. She had to endure Alison's torture and you had only ever received her anger once. But that one time was enough. You couldn't imagine receiving it on a daily basis. No wonder Mona hated her so much.

But why would she do this to you? What did you do to anger her so much?
