There was no warning. One day your parents sat down with you and managed to completely change your life. You were moving. It wasn't like you were moving just outside of rosewood. No. you were moving to a different country. They tried to win you over by telling you that you'd make new friends, meet new people. But that only made things worse.

You told Jason and Ali straight away, not believing that this is actually happening. As much as it hurt you and Jason both agreed to never stop loving each other- you would try and make this relationship work, even if it was long distance.

You didn't have long to prepare, leaving only 3 weeks after being told. You said your goodbyes, but knew you would speak to all the girls and Jason every day.

Sadly over time, your relationship deteriorated. It was hard not seeing him, not being able to spend time with him. You had made new friends like your parents said, but you desperately tried to keep in contact with aria, Emily, Hanna, spencer and Alison. They were like sisters to you, especially Alison.

Then the worst thing happened. You and Jason broke up. You couldn't pin point exactly when your relationship ended, but the long distance wasn't working and you wanted him to be happy. So together you agreed to see other people. Well, He had come up with the idea and you had agreed. You assumed he had found someone else and wanted to end things with you before starting things with them and you couldn't blame him. As long as he was happy, you were.

Then your parents decided to move back to rosewood. You had no idea what had happened up until now. Ali disappeared, assumed to be dead, but the liars didn't think she was. It was all very confusing. So you spent your first week back in rosewood, with them, unpacking and redecorating your room.

You were most nervous about seeing Jason again. It had been a long time. You didn't know what he was doing now, who he was with. It scared you because for all this time you hadn't been with anyone else. You had tried, multiple times. But it never felt right and you just kept thinking of Jason. It honestly hurt that he was able to move on whereas you couldn't, you had to admit you were envious of his freedom.

You hoped to avoid him, thinking about what you would say. You had changed since you were last with him. Your interests had changed, you'd grown up. Evidently so had he, as you saw him crossing the road opposite you. He had to do a double take when his eyes met yours. You took a deep breath and wandered over. You wanted to get this out of the way.

"Hi" you greeted casually, as if nothing had happened. However your heart was beating at a million miles per hour and you could feel your hands getting sweaty. He always had this effect on you and it was confusing; how he managed to make you so nervous yet so calm.

"Hey. So... you're back." You nodded, the conversation becoming silent.

"How've you been?" you were struggling now, the words almost getting caught in your throat. On the one hand you wanted him to say he was okay, so you could move on. On the other hand, you wanted him to not be okay, to want you back.

"Good. What about you?" he questioned politely. You heart skipped a beat and not in a good way. It was as if your heart had stopped working, like it couldn't go on knowing Jason was fine without you.

"yes." It wasn't really an answer, but it was all you could manage along with a swift goodbye. You knew it was selfish to want Jason to be hurt or lost without you, but that's how you felt whenever you were reminded of him.

Normally you would go and see Alison, but she wasn't there. It had finally hit you. You had been so caught up with the girls and Jason, you hadn't had time to mourn over the loss of your best friend, whether or not she was actually dead. You headed to her grave, stopping off to buy flowers on the way.

You knew where to go, Emily had spoken about it before. You remembered rosewood cemetery. All of the graves lined up for what looked like miles. You passed statues of angels as you wandered along, thinking about how Ali would've loved a statue.

When you got to the exact spot you heard a voice.

"I don't know what to do ali." It said. You walked forward a bit more, making sure to stay out of sight. Jason sat next to her grave, removing the dead flowers from a vase in front of him.

"I loved her so much and now she's back." He cried. You. He was talking about you. You wanted to hear more, but it felt wrong. He was talking to his dead sister and needed privacy.

"And I still love her." He finished. You had to put a hand over your mouth to stop yourself from making any noise. He still loved you.

"I don't know what to do..." he repeated.

You stepped out from your spot, the flowers in front of you. He looked up, noticing an odd shadow towering over him.

"Y/n!!" he said alarmed. "What are you doing here?" he remained seated, looking up at you.

"I came to give these to Alison." You stated, kneeling down and placing the flowers in the empty vase.

"Did you....uhm.....how long were you?..."

"I heard Jason." You didn't even think about the words before they left your mouth.

"oh." He looked down now, then over at her grave. "So what now? I know we broke up." You sat next to him and sighed.

"Sorry. I'm thinking ahead, you don't even like me anymore do you?" sadness washed over his face.

"I want to be with you again." that one statement explained your feelings for him and what you wanted to happen, but he didn't quite realise it.

"But...." He said, expecting you to carry on.

"But nothing. I never stopped loving you." You admitted, messing with your hands on your lap. He laughed, confused, you looked at him. Although he was laughing you could see his eyes getting watery.

"I never stopped loving you either." He replied.

"So why did you suggest we break up?" the question had come into your mind straight away.

"I wanted you to be happy. Even if it was without me."

"That's the only reason I agreed, so you could be happy." You giggled. You didn't say anything else. You didn't need to. He kissed you, pulling you closer towards him. All the time you had spent away from each other suddenly didn't seem to matter.

It was like you had never left.
