All I Need Is You - Damian Priest

Sinking down onto the locker room bench I had never felt so low in my life. I had just lost the World HeavyWeight Title, my reign had been far shorter than I would have liked.

There was so much I wanted to achieve as champion and now the opportunity was gone, all so that sorry excise for wrestler Gunther could get a push.

To top it all off I had immediately called my fiancée to seek some comfort only for her to tell me point blank it was over as she was no longer interested now I wasn't champion. Thinking about it the signs were there, she hadn't been interested no matter how much a persude her until I got the belt and then everything moved at light speed.

Not really knowing what to do, how to react or how to feel I had trashed my locker room in what I guess was a fit of anger. I was certain someone had heard and so it was only a matter of time before my mystery was interrupted.

"Priest! Priest you in there?" A familiar voice  calls through the door

"Yeah, where the hell else would I be" I snap back as the door slowly opens

"Damn I knew you'd taken the loss badly but I didn't  realise it was this bad" Rhea says scanning the room

"It's not just that" I sigh "Mya dumped me, apparently she only wanted me because I was champion"

"I fucking knew it, I told you" she fumes "I'm going to break her bloody neck for hurting you like this.......come here" she says opening her arms.

"No offense but no thanks" I say "what I need right now is y/n she makes everything better"

"If course she's what you need" she smirks "she's gone back to the hotel, why don't you head off and I'll tidy this mess before you get fined"

"Thanks nightmare" I say patting her shoulder as I grab my bag and leave the room.

Y/N POV

It had only been seconds since I put my stuff down in my room when there was a soft knock at the door.

Brow furrowed I open the door slowly only to find Damian stood there looking like the weight of the world was on his shoulders and he was about to crumble.

Silently I step aside and let him in the room. He throws down his back and then turns to face me. He takes a few steps towards me and then to my shock drops to his knees, wraps his arms around my hips with his face agaisnt my stomach and begins to sob uncontrollably.

"Hey what happened big man" I ask as I gently stroke his hair "I know this isn't just over the belt"

"Mya" he sobs "she left me, only wanted me because I was champion. We'd just got engaged and she was moving in and now........now I have nothing.......well except you"

"And Rhea, don't forget about her or she will kick your ass" I say and he chuckles sadly before finally looking up at me "you may have lost the title and she may have broken your heart but you still have everything" I say wiping his tears with my thumbs

"All I need is you" he says standing and taking my hand. Slowly he guides me over towards the bed where he lies down and pats the space beside him.

I lay next to him and he places his head on my chest with his arms across my stomach. Knowing instinctively what he needs I wrap my arms around him and kiss the top of his head.

"You will find someone who deserves you D" I soothe "someone who will see how amazing and easy to love you are"

"Nah I'm done with relationships" he says "let's face it you are one of a kind, you accept everything about me, you know how to make me feel better, you are always there for me - I'm never going to find another woman like that and I need someone like you"

"Trust me she is out there" I say and then he turns his head to look up at me.

"What if...........nah its a crazy idea" he says putting his head back down

"Tell me" I say softly

"I was thinking what if we tried being a couple" he says "and if it doesn't work we go back to being friends"

"D do you understand what you are asking of me?" I say and he nods "what if I don't feel that way about you? And you certainly don't feel that way about me"

"Can I try something?" He asks "you trust me right?" He asks

"Sure" I nod

I watch as Damian lifts himself up a little and then slowly brings his face closer to mine, his eyes move between my eyes and my lips and feel my breathing quicken.

His lips softly capture mine and he kisses me slowly. Suddenly it feels like I have electricity coursing through my body and I have no control over how I react to him.

I tangle my hands into his hair pulling him closer to me and deepening the kiss but all too soon he moves back and looks at me breathless.

"Tell me you didn't feel that" he says as I touch my lips with my finger tips

"You felt it too?" I ask

"Absolutely" he nods "so what do you think? Shall we give it a go?"

"I.....I......uh........I guess we should explore what that was but let's take it a day at a time, and not rush into anything" I say

"Like I said, all I need is you y/n" he smiles softly "I don't know why I didn't see it sooner. Just promise me one thing" he says laying back down and resting his head on my chest once more

"Anything" I say

"Promise me you won't hurt me" he says

"I could never" I say wrapping my arms around him "I promise D"
