Bad Day - Adam Cole (Request)

Another request from xMrsHardy and this one is for herself and Joy_of_life88 - hope you like it ladies ❤

Looking at your watch you were relieved to see it was lunchtime, you honestly couldn't wait to get out of the office and away from everything for an hour.

Today had just not been your day you thought as you listened to your heels clicking on the sidewalk, that had been your first mistake wearing heels to work, you normally never did but you thought you would have a change but now you were convinced that by the end of the day you were going to have a sprained ankle.

You decided to head to your favourite coffee shop and then go sit in the park near the office, you could manage that safely right? Nothing else could possibly go wrong today.

For some reason today everything that could go wrong did go wrong, the urgent printing that you had do had been held up by the printer packing up to the point it required and engineer, you had tried to make yourself a coffee and ended up spilling it all over yourself, thankfully you always kept a spare top in your bottom drawer for just such an event.

Everything you touched seemed to break and well you had had enough, today could just do one and it was only half done.

Arriving at the cafe you order yourself a hot chocolate with extra cream becuase let's face it chocolate and cream makes everything better.
Heading out onto the sidewalk to go to the park, you breathed a sigh of relief for once something was going right, and then it happened, you felt your heel catch on something and you felt yourself go careening forward, bracing yourself for the impact you were about to make with the sidewalk you close your eyes.

When you land you realise that whatever was underneath you wasn't the sidewalk, it was solid but warm and thats when you felt it some one take a breath.
Oh dear god no! As if falling in public wasn't bad enough you had taken some one down with you.

"Are you alright?" A voice asks

Slowing allowing yourself to open your eyes you find a pair of beautiful blue eyes staring back at you, the man flashes you a big bright smile and for a second you can't breath.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry" you say scrambling off him and helping him up

"It's fine really" he smiles again "I'd rather you landed on me than the sidewalk, less painful"

You take a moment to look at him properly, he was tall, handsome, his hair tied back in a bun and although he was covered you could tell by looking at him and what you had felt while you had been laying on him that he was muscular.

But then you notice something else, there isn't a drop of hot chocolate on him, mortified you look down checking yourself over but there's not a drop on you either, god knows where you drink had ended up but at least it wasn't all over you or him, although admittedly you wouldn't mind seeing what was under his shirt.

"Are you alright" you ask concerned "I know I didn't land lightly"

"I'm fine" he smiles "It's not everyday you get tackled to the ground by a beautiful woman"

Feeling yourself blush you crouch down to pick up your hand bag but it seems he had the same idea, grabbing for it at the same time his fingers graze yours and you smile nervously at him.

"Um thank" you say not sure where to look "and I really am sorry today has not been my day"

"It's fine honestly" he says "would you let me replace the drink you lost?"

"Oh no you don't have to do that" you say finding his offer very sweet

"I'd like to" he smiles "and I have the time if you want to tell me about your bad day"

Nodding you walk with him back to the cafe, you find a table while he goes and buys the drinks. As he walks over to you he once again gives you that big bright grin that makes your breath hitch. Taking a seat beside you he places your drink in front of you and removes his jacket, giving you your first glimpse of his muscular arms.

"I'm Adam by the way" he says

"Y/n" you reply

"So y/n tell me about your bad day" he smiles

You take a sip of your drink before regailing him with everything that had gone wrong in the space of 4 hours, as you talk he smiles and occasionally chuckles and you find that you really enjoy his company. He easy to talk to and quite frankly he had made your otherwise disaster of a day a little bit better.

"Wow today really isn't your day is it" he chuckles "but I hope I helped to make it a little better"

"You really did" you smile "thank you.......oh I need to get back to work" you say glancing at your watch "thank you for the drink" you say before making a hasty exit hoping you can  get back to the office without incident.

"Hey y/n" you hear him call out and when you turn you find  him catching up to you

"Yeah?" You ask

"Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?" He asks

"Why would you want have dinner with a clutz like me?" You ask laughing

"A clutz you may be but you are a beautiful clutz and I'd like to get to know you better" he smiles

"Sure I'd love to" you smile as you exchange numbers with him

"Great text me when you finish work and we'll meet up" he says giving up you a brief hug and a kiss on the cheek before you part ways.

As you head back to the office you can't help but think that maybe today wasn't so bad after all, I mean if you hadn't fallen you may not have met Adam, and for the first time in your life you were actually glad to be a clutz.
