Two months later jessica had been doing a lot better, she had the knee brace off and was walking without crutches. She started talking to her therapist and opened up to Spencer more. Eventually she was able to finally get some regular sleep, though she still has the occasional nightmare. The best news is that she was finally able to return to the work. Today was jessica's first day back at work and she was very excited but she was also running late as usual which Spencer did not appreciate considering he was giving her a lift.He beeped the horn twice staring at the front door, seconds later a chaotic Jess came running out jumping into the passenger seat apologising the whole run to the car "I'm sorry, sorry I lost track of time" she said trying to get her seat belt on.
"Are you ready to go?" She nodded at him "I don't know if we'll have time to stop for coffee" he said as he started driving.
"We will don't worry! Just means have to get it to go instead of drinking it there" she grinned at him. He parked right outside the coffee shop and jessica hopped out "just your usual?"
"Yeah but be quick I don't-"
"-don't Like being late, I'm very aware dad." She giggled and ran inside And ordered the coffees, but as they called jessica's name they also called someone else she didn't register it until she went to grab her coffees the man next to her picked up her cup by mistake instead of his own and began walking away. Jessica quickly realised and picked up the last two cups and tried to catch up to him "sorry, excuse me! Sir?"
"Oh Hi sorry didn't see you there" the stranger said as he turned around after already taking a sip of her coffee.
"It's fine but um I think you picked up my coffee by mistake" jessica tried to be polite but she was also very particular with her order so she needed hers back.
The stranger simply looks at the name written on the side of his cup 'jessica' and laughs "oh yeah i did, sorry, won't happen again" and he turns to walk again. She just stood there for a second completely bewildered before she clicked back to reality and chased after him.
Jessica was determined to get her coffee back and follows after him "yeah that's my coffee so can we switch back please? You know since I have your coffee and you have MINE" she said very passive aggressively.
"Oh that's not a coffee" he said motioning to his cup in jessica's hand "it's actually a green tea" she gave him a look as if he was stupid. "Anyways, I kinda already drank from this?" He started to notice the anger rising in her
"I don't care if there were dancing unicorns flying out your ass. That's my cup of coffee that I ordered. I don't want your 'green tea' if I did I would have ordered it in the first place" by now the entire coffee shop had fallen silent watching the scene jessica caused but she didn't even realise she just wanted her coffee.
The stranger just looked puzzled at her "Why would their be dancing unicorns-"
"Not the point can you just give me my coffee and you can have your weird tea!"
"Why are you making this such a big deal? Do you really want a drink a stranger has already tried?"
"Yeah I do cause it's my frickin coffee!"
"Look lady it's not that big of a deal okay? It's just a coffee!" The man started loosing his patience with jessica now too and she couldn't for the life of her understand why he wouldn't just give it back. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to go or I'll be late for work!"
He once again tried to turn and walk way but jessica was standing her ground and ran round him, blocking his path to the door. " no! I can't just give me my coffee!"
