Trigger warning:

More details of the same case and more details in the violence, again please don't read if you aren't comfortable with any of this!!

Later on the plane jessica and Spencer were sat opposite sides of the plane as far away from each other as they possibly could. Both sulking, Spencer was reading a book and jessica had her earbuds in listening to music going over the case in her head. The rest of the team were discussing the case together and occasionally looked to either Spencer for Jess for help and all they got were short answers.

Hours later, they had been working on the case in Chicago all day and they were getting nowhere and it was now getting late and everyone was asleep in their hotel rooms. Jess however was wide awake she had been studying some of the case file trying to make a connection anywhere at all to find the monster who took these girls. Whenever the case involved children Jess couldn't sleep until it was solved something about these particular cases horrified her. Well they probably had the same affect on everyone else too but jessica was still new at this didn't quite know how to deal with the traumas she had witnessed. All she knew that helped was getting through them and solving them. So far they had three suspects:

• John avery
- 43 years old
- works as a cleaner at the school
- has a criminal record for petty crimes

• George santos
- 32 years old
- the mailman who mostly works in the area where the girls live
- his sister works as a teacher at the school they victims were from

• Terry Matthews
- 31 years old
- he's a paediatrician
- lilly Blanchards next door neighbour

None of the suspects were perfect but jessica had a feeling it was one of them but she was unsure which one it could be. After a few more hours of going round in circles and looking at crime scene photos it was nearly 3am and she decided to take a break to refresh so she went to explore the hotel. After about 10 minutes she came to a staircase and followed it up, it lead to a door going out onto the roof. She tried the handle and to her surprise it opened. When she walked out and looked around it was completely empty other than a few pieces of old rubbish blowing in the wide and an old metal patio table and chairs set. She went and sat down looking around at Chicago's view at night taking it all in and clearing her head.

She closed her eyes feeling the wind hit her skin when she heard someone coming towards her from behind. She froze up terrified. She started to breathe faster when she was sure who ever it was, was actually coming to her she stood up, spun round and pulled her gun out all in the same second "back o-" a wave of relief and anger washed Over her when she saw Spencer's stupid face standing their a little amused while trying to hide it. He had thrown his hands in the air to show her he was no danger. She slowly lowered her gun, putting it away and let out a deep breath she didn't realise she was even holding. "Oh my god Spencer! What the hell?! I could've killed you"

"Sorry I just saw you leaving your room and wanted to make sure you're okay because it's late. Why do you have your gun on you at three in the morning" he said slowly walking over and sitting on the other patio chair .

"Incase strange men creep up behind me like you did!" She said in an annoyed tone. "But I'm fine so you can go back to bed now and you can stop pretending you care"

"But I do care, I'm not pretending" as she rolled her eyes at him, Jess put her feet on the chair and hugged her knees to her chest.
