A almost week later jessica was packing her stuff in the hospital, getting ready to go when someone knocked on the open door, she turned to see hotch stood there innocently "hotch? What are you doing here?"

"Just dropped by to see you, are you going home?" He asked referring to the bag infront of her.

"Uh yeah I'm finally free"she joked, "they didn't want to let me out till tomorrow but I can be very persuasive when I wanna be"

"Oh I know that for sure agent green" she chuckled a little at his comment, then a little bit of an awkward silence fell upon them.

"Sooo, was there something else you wanted?"

"Uhh- yeah actually" he moved in the room closer to her, then he extended two evidence bags in his hand "I was able to get these out of evidence logs for you" in one bag was the photo frame and in the other was her mothers necklace, the two things the men took from her house and sent to the BAU in the beginning of the case. Jessica was almost brought to tears at the sight of them. She had mentioned it in passing to the group how much she wanted them back, she didn't even realise hotch was listening when she said it. She kind of expected to wait months to get them back.

She looked back up at him nodding appreciatively as a tear escaped her eye "thanks hotch" her voice cracked and pulled him into a hug. She pulled away to look at him again "this means.. a lot"

"I know-"

"No you don't, this means more than you could ever know" she says wiping the tears away.

"Well you've been through a lot recently you at least deserve to have your own possessions back" even though hotch always had a stern look on his face he did little thoughtful gestures for the team and this one meant more jessica than he realised.

"Hey jessica your already to go, rhe nurses gave you a wheelchair to help you out to the car- hotch? What are you doing here?" Spencer asked unexpectedly as he walked in.

"Just passing by, anyways I'll see you guys later" he said starting to walk off.

"See you back at work soon hotch" Jessica haid eagerly.

"Not too soon agent green" he insisted, glancing back at her before leaving.

"Okay, Are you ready to go?" Spencer asked.

"Yep, all set" Spencer picked up her bag and helped her to the wheel chair, laying her crutches across her lap.

When they finally got back to Spencer's house got her bags out of her car and they went inside "and this is your new room" he placed her bags on the bed, it was a decent sized room actually, with a double bed, a desk and a big closet. "Okay well I'll leave you too it I guess" he said as she looked around smiling at her room.

"Thanks dad" she beamed at him.

"No problem, give me a shout if you need a hand and I was thinking Thai food for dinner, that sound good to you?" he asked and she nodded before he left, closing the door behind him. She spent the next hour or two setting up some things around her room and putting a few clothes away. Eventually she decided to take a break for a little while and opened the evidences bags hot gave her, putting the photo frame on her dresser then she sat down as she opened the second one and carefully pulled out the necklace . She looked at it in the palm of her hand for maybe a minute then decided to put on, fastening it around her neck. "Hey Jess! Foods here!" Spencer called from the bottom of the stairs.

"I'll be down in a second" she answered, grabbing her crutches.
Hours later after they ate their food, both Spencer and jessica were pretty tired and went to bed, or at least Spencer did, jessica just lay in bed, wide awake. In the week she spent in the hospital she barely got any sleep, she was still so terrified. Not to mention the nightmares she had every time she did manage to fall asleep.
