Minho dribbled the basketball with ease, his eyes scanning the court as the sound of squeaking shoes filled the gym. His friends, Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, Jisung, Felix, and Jeongin, were scattered around the bleachers, talking and laughing loudly as they waited for practice to start.

"Minho, mate, you've got to pick one of them," Chan called out, nodding toward a group of girls who were giggling and staring at Minho from across the gym.

Hyunjin smirked, "Yeah, they're practically throwing themselves at you."

Minho just chuckled, shaking his head as he shot the ball, watching it swish through the net. "Not interested."

"Come on, you're like the hottest guy here. It's a waste," Jisung chimed in, earning laughs from the others.

Minho just shrugged, wiping sweat from his forehead. "I'm good, trust me."

As the guys continued to tease him, Seungmin entered the gym quietly, his backpack slung over one shoulder. He was the definition of a nerd-glasses, neatly pressed shirt, and always with a book in hand. He made his way to the bench, setting down his bag and pulling out the balls for practice. Minho's eyes softened as they met Seungmin's, then Minho turned back to his friends.

"Seriously, hyung, you've got to be seeing someone," Felix said, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. "You're too calm about all this."

Minho chuckled again, glancing at Seungmin out of the corner of his eye. "Maybe I am."

Jeongin looked surprised, "Wait, for real? Who?"

Minho grinned but didn't answer, instead he tossed the ball to Hyunjin to start practice. As they played, he kept an eye on Seungmin, who quietly observed from the sidelines. The other guys were too focused on the game to notice the way the cat boy's gaze would linger on Seungmin.

When practice ended, Minho made his way over to the puppy boy, who was packing up the balls. The gym was nearly empty now, the rest of the team was heading to the locker room. Minho glanced around to make sure no one was watching before leaning down to whisper in Seungmin's ear.

"Missed you today."

Seungmin looked up, his eyes brightening at the older's words. "Me too," he whispered back, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Minho reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair behind Seungmin's ear. "Want to grab something to eat?"

Seungmin hesitated, glancing toward the locker room where Minho's friends were. "What about the others?"

"They don't have to know," Minho said softly, his tone reassuring. "It's just us."

Seungmin nodded, his heart racing as Minho's hand brushed against his. "Okay."

They kept their distance as they left the school, careful not to draw attention. But once they were away from everyone's eyes, Minho's hand found Seungmin's, their fingers intertwining in a way that felt both familiar and right.

"Do you ever get tired of hiding?" Minho asked quietly as they walked.

Seungmin replied. "I don't want to ruin your reputation, what if everyone sees you with a 'social suicide' like me?"
