~Chapter 3~
The rest of the game went smoothly compared to the events of earlier. It was no surprise that Team JYP claimed victory against Team BigHit, 3-1. Seeing the crowds waving around their blue banners and flags in solidarity with the blue confetti and streamers surrounding the stadium immediately after they won was such a sight. Groups of people in tears as they hugged in celebration of the team. The players on the field celebrate their win with each other. For his first baseball game, it wasn't an all-bad experience. He actually really enjoyed himself.
The cheers started to simmer as people began to leave. The three of them helped the kids pile up their trash so they could dump it on their way out.
"Did you enjoy the game??" Felix softly asked them.
"Yes, Mr. Lee," they all replied.
"Mm, Good," he forcefully laughed, softly smiling back at them. Changbin gently rubbed his knee, noticing the pain behind the laugh.
"Changbin di-"
"Excuse me," Someone called out, gently tapping Chan's shoulder.
"Hm," he hummed as he looked over to the person.
"Hi, perhaps, are you the one who caught the home run ball??" He asked.
"Y-Yes, I am," Chan nervously responded.
"And is this your party??" He continued to ask, pointing to everyone in the section.
"Yeah, I'm with him; it's a field trip," he pointed at Changbin. They all watched him, confused, as he stepped back and held his ear down, whispering something over his shoulder, waiting a second before he returned his finger to his ear and said something else.
"Okay, leave your trash on the floor. I need you all to come with me." He quickly said as he started up the stairs towards the exit.
"I'm sorry," Chan said as he stood up from his seat.
"Someone wants to meet you," he smiled before continuing up the stairs. Chan looked back at the two. In an equal state of shock as him. It didn't take Felix long to figure out what the other two were still struggling to understand.
"Okay, everyone, let's follow the nice young man," Felix laughed, getting all the kids up and out of the section and walking behind the man. Come on, boys."
They still helplessly looked at each other, hoping it would randomly click in their minds before they started following Felix. The three followed behind the kids, who followed behind the guy in a black suit, who almost looked like a bodyguard of some sort. He led the group through the existing guests to an area none had seen before.
"There's no way he's taking us to the Clubhouse right now," Changbin whispered to Chan as they continued walking.
"To where??"
"Where the players rest," Changbin calmly replied, trying not to get his hopes up.
"The players!!" Chan accidentally yelled back, causing everyone to look back at him. Sorry." The kids and Felix laughed at him as they turned back forward and continued to walk.
"Player 11??" Chan quietly asked, looking back at Changbin.
"Mhm," he nodded. Chan instantly grew embarrassed again. His cheeks instantly turned red at the thought of seeing him. It was different when he was on the field, but right in front of him.
"Lixie," Changbin softly whispered by his ear as he reached for his waist. Felix smiled as he turned his head to him. He instantly caught the worried look on Chan's face.
"Oh, what's wrong," he softly said, switching places with Changbin, quickly moving over to comfort him.
"I-I can't do this," he nervously said to him.
"You're definitely panicking," Felix softly said, taking his unoccupied hand in his. He was violently shaking in fear about facing him. Felix thought it was cute, ultimately watching him finally crush out on someone. "Breathe, in and out," he said, trying to calm him down.
"Okay, wait right along here," the guy said, guiding them along a white wall in front of two doors. Changbin led with the kids lined next to him; Felix and Chan stayed at the end. The guy whispered something over his shoulder before the door opened, and Seungmin walked out.
"Omg," Changbin said, dropping his jaw as he stood in front of them.
"Hi, everyone," he smiled, waving out to them. "How was the game??"
"Good," Changbin and the kids all excitedly yelled back.
"I'm glad. How about some signatures?" he cheerfully said as he opened his marker cap and started with Changbin first. Felix smiled, watching how geeked he was. Seungmin was his favorite player, and he was getting his signature. He knew he would never shut up about it, and he couldn't care less. He just loved seeing him happy.
Despite Changbin being just as nervous, he could still converse with him. He practically talked his ear off as he signed his cap for him. Seungmin loved it; he loved meeting his overly eager fans. They were always his favorite ones.
After he finished, he moved on to the kids. Equally, signing their hats and having small conversations with them. Seungmin also loved having so many kids look up to him, so he made sure to offer advice to each of them and their games.
Felix only cared about Changbin, so he asked Seungmin if he would go back and take a selfie with him after he finished. Seungmin laughed and agreed before moving on to Chan. Felix teasingly waved his eyebrows at the older as he left the two of them alone and went over to Changbin, where the kids were all showing off their signatures to each other. ~~
