~Chapter 5~

"Just talk to him..apologize and talk to him," Seungmin quietly repeated to himself as he walked into the company. It was later than usual; Chan always stayed late. It's been a week since he snapped at him in his room.

He didn't know why he said it; he definitely didn't mean it—almost regretting it immediately after, especially the next morning when Chan didn't even bother to talk to him.

He couldn't be upset with him; it was his fault. He knew this, but stubbornly, he couldn't bring himself to talk to him first. It was fine at first; he was strong, he didn't need him. Despite the constant pain, he was in or how much he craved his attention—the restless nights, alone in his room with every inch of his mind telling him to see him. But after a few days, he couldn't take it anymore. He needed his mate. He paused when he reached his studio, seeing their manager inside with him.

"...the only reason you still exist is your popularity. Funny enough, you actually do make us money," their manager laughed.

"We understand that, but-"

"You have until the 19th, or you and your entire wolf team are finished. Do you understand?" he shouted at him, his tone aggressive and demanding. Chan took a deep breath and nodded his head at him. Okay, good. Glad we could come to an agreement," he smugly smiled. I'll check in to see your progress. Don't make me disappoint, Stays," he quickly added before he left, knowing how much that would anger him.

"That fucking bitch," Chan gritted to himself as he turned back to his soundboard. Crunching his fists together in an attempt to calm himself down. Seungmin, outside the room, turned his face the other way, afraid their manager would scold him too.

He watched him fully leave down the hallway before entering the room with him. Chan was upset; he could almost see the rage steaming off him. And every part of him worried that his presence would just make it worse.

They hadn't spoken a single word to each other all week; he could almost assume he was still mad at him. But he couldn't leave; he needed him now more than ever. He watched Chan desperately put his head in his hands, mumbling something to himself.

Seungmin wanted nothing more than to hold him and let him know it would be okay. He couldn't calm him like an omega, but he could be there for him like he was always there for them. He walked over to the couch behind him and quietly sat down. Still doubting if he even wanted to see him right now. Chan lightly laughed as he pulled his head up from his hands.

"Are you just gonna sit there?" he asked as he swiveled his chair and turned to him. A soft smile creased his lips as he saw his sudden flustered expression.

"No, I..um..I was going to apologize," he softly stuttered.

"Apologize for what," Chan laughed as he pushed his chair closer to him.

"For..for what I said to you. I'm sorry..I didn't mean it," Seungmin softly said, biting his lip to prevent the tears that pricked his eyes from dropping.

"I know you didn't," he smiled as he moved entirely in front of him. What is it?" he asked, noticing his restrictiveness. He reached his hand up to his chin to lift his face to him. He softly pouted when he looked into his eyes.

"You're not mad at me, right??" he unsurely asked.

"What! Of course not," he laughed, pushing himself between his legs and reaching up for his waist. I can never be mad at you," he softly cooed as he fed his arms behind his back, leaning in, and softly kissed his stomach.
