~Chapter 2~

When he opened the door, unnaturally, the dorm was quiet. He didn't think much of it; he just assumed everyone was still out eating. He went straight to his room, throwing his bag at the foot of his bed and sitting down on the edge. He started to unzip his jacket, staring at his closet, trying to picture the right outfit for a mysterious location. Frustratingly, combing his hands through his hair, knowing he had nothing to go off of. The only thing he knew, wherever it was, was cold.

He hated not knowing things; it made him stupidly nervous. He was nervous about what to wear, about being alone with Chan, especially the latter. Sure, they often were alone, but always at the dorms, in either of their rooms or in the studio. Otherwise, the other members were there, but just the two of them, somewhere public. That made him really nervous.

He stood from the bed, took a deep breath, and walked over to his closet, finally attempting to put together an outfit. He figured this would be just like any other day. So his outfit shouldn't be anything special, something he'd normally wear. The thought didn't stop him from destroying his room with his clothes and moving through multiple options before finally settling on something somewhat decent in his eyes. It was always so much easier when Jeongin was there to assist him. He laid his made outfits on the bed, accepting the choices before going to the bathroom to quickly shower. The outfit still managed to look exceptionally well; it always did.

On his way to his dorm, Chan couldn't help but think about Seungmin. He missed him constantly, even if they just saw each other. He wanted to be around him always. Thankfully, his plan was taking his main focus. He'd noticed how stressed he was about the upcoming comeback, and it hurt him to see him that way. So he thought he should plan something for him, with the help of Skz.

Trying to get help from them was like asking toddlers to sit still long enough for Storytime. Difficult would be an understatement. But they were all he had. So, he entrusted his members with help. Of course, he had faith in them, even if it was only a little. But he knew them, and if it was important, they would always come through in the end. When he entered the dorm, he was surprised. They all seemed to have been waiting for him. All hoping up to greet him in.

"How was it??" he hopefully inquired, looking around the room at all of them standing before him. Not being able to accurately guess based on their unreadable reactions.

They each had a job. Minho was their chef, so he was in charge of making food for them. Everyone loved Felix's brownies, so he made a batch. Jeongin had the best sense, so he helped set up the area with Hyunjin, who was artistic and would make it look nice. Now Han and Changbin. They were the floaters. Both were supposed to keep Seungmin busy while the rest of them finished, then delivered him to the spot when Chan was ready. Their jobs were minuscule but just as important.

"I think good," Minho spoke first, uncrossing his arms. "The food is finished," he continued, pointing to the kitchen. The counter was filled with the two's favorites.

"The brownies are in the oven," Felix cheerfully smiled.

"It smells so good in here," Chan said, savoring the scent. "And you two," he continued, looking over at HyunIN.

"Yes, we set it up where you told us to," Jeongin replied. "It's so cozy," Hyunjin added excitedly.

"Thank you so much," he softly smiled at them. "He'll love it so much," he added.

"Should we go now??" Changbin asked, ready to contribute.

"Yes, you two can go. Remember, don't tell him anything. I'll text you when you can leave," he directed them.

"I promise we can do it," Han surely smiled, with Changbin nodding his head beside him. But even then, it didn't give him any more faith in the two.

"Okay, I'm gonna get ready," Chan said as he started for his room. Binsung went to the other dorm. Hyunjin and Jeongin rested on the couch. And Minlix resorted to the kitchen.

Chan felt a wave of relief as he sat on his bed. Everything seemed to be going well, and he needed it to be special for him. That relief only lasted for a second before his nervousness resettled. Because now all he had left was to get ready. He had a lot of clothes, that wasn't the problem. It was the lack of color that was his biggest enemy. All he had was black and black on top of more black, with a little black sprinkled on top. It's all he had. He always looked good, however, against his own opinion.

Coming up with an outfit shouldn't be hard; just wear what he normally wears. The outfit didn't matter, and neither did he. All that mattered was Seungmin and his happiness. Simple black cargo, white tee, and a black textured button-down layered on top. Just a simple date outfit. He finished in the bathroom, messing with his hair, trying to find a good-styled look.

Seungmin, on the other hand, had just gotten out of the shower. Also changed into his outfit. He returned to the bathroom to see it fully in the mirror as he dried his damped hair, trying to make it as fluffy as possible. His nerves seemed to settle after the shower. More excited than nervous now. Let's just say he missed Chan. He was surprised when he heard a knock on the front door, even more so when he saw Changbin and Han standing behind it. Standing strangely, like they were up to something.

"Hi," he said, letting them in and closing the door after them. Reverting to the bathroom, unbothered by their presence, and finished his hair and washed his face. The two walked with him, standing outside the door as they watched him.

"What," Seungmin said, looking over to them. Just weirdly watched him as he finished getting ready.

"Your outfit," Han responded.

"Yes, What??" he asked again, looking down at himself, second-guessing his decision.

"It looks nice," Han smiled at him, teasing the younger.

"What are you doing here??" he said lowly, taking a deep breath.

"Us!! We're-" Changbin started to say, looking over to Han.

"We're..." Han repeated, equally lost, looking at Changbin. All the preparations on the way there just for them to fumble in front of him.

"Chan told us to keep you busy," Changbin blurted out. Causing Han to playfully hit him in the shoulder. "Did you just hit me??" he jokingly snapped at him.

"No," Han cowardly replied, immediately regretting his impulse. "We weren't supposed to tell him," he whispered to him.

"I didn't say anything about the-"

"It's okay. I won't tell him," Seungmin interrupted. Stopping Changbin from almost spilling everything. He suddenly didn't want to ruin the surprise, whatever it was, he was too excited. "I'm almost finished," he said to the two before closing the door.
