Description: Seungmin is restrictive, dismissive..he just likes to keep to himself. He developed a seriously guarded personality shaped by his trauma. What happens to the strong mindset he build, when he meets someone the exact opposite to himself. Someone who reminds him of someone from his past.
Authors Note: Hey Lovelies..This story is unfortunally still in the writing stage, but I have a few chapters that are done now, and I'm hoping publishing them with push me to finish..becuase this story is really good so far.
Disclaimer!! This story has strong themes..death, mentions of suicide, panic attacks/anxiety..(I'll add more if they appear) So please be cautious while reading, if any of these are trigger for you. There is fluffy hidden under all the angst I promise!!

Dear Mom and Dad, June 3rd, 2024
In my life, people come, and people go. Some stick around, and some fade into nothing but memories. I've gotten used to the thought of people leaving. It's almost second nature not to get attached or simply feel anymore.
Because they could get ripped from you at any moment, it could happen now, when you least expect it. I know this; it's been etched into my mind, burned into my brain. I'm accustomed to it. The thought has become the only one I knew, the only tune I heard.
But then why...why are you any different?? Why can't I shut off these feelings?? Why can't I shove them down, somewhere deep in me, and ignore them?? Why are you all I think about?? Why do I forget everything I spent years teaching myself when I'm with you??
Why??
Dear Mom and Dad, I think I'm falling in love.
Sincerely your son,
Seungmin

"Hi, Dad," Seungmin greeted as he entered the room, letting his bookbag slide down his arm before closing the door behind him. He tossed it into the chair, wrapped around the bed, and drew back the curtains, brightening the dimmed room with light.
He focused his attention on the countertop below the window, removing the wilted flowers and discarding them in the wastebasket. "Remind me to get you more of these," he said while emptying the vase.

Kim Seungmin was always a happy kid. He had the best childhood, an only child surrounded by boundless love from his parents. A childhood filled with so much love, laughter, and warmth, with the safety and nurturing that every growing boy needs. His parents meant everything to him; they were all he needed in life, knowing they were there by his side.
There to read his favorite stories, make his favorite foods, or scare away the imaginary monsters he crafted in his growing mind. His life was happy and perfect until he turned eight when the laughter...the warmth...the love he was smothered with halted—to a complete stop.
That was the age he lost his mother.
Much like anyone who lost a parent, especially a younger child who doesn't even know what death means, he initially found it hard to cope. He became quiet, completely contrasting to the lively Seungmin everyone learned to love, as he wrestles with the reality of no longer having his mother with him, never being able to feel her tight hugs or her gently kisses again or hear her soft voice reading him off to sleep or her soft laugh when she bathed him. He didn't understand why she had to leave him and why she couldn't just simply return to him.
