~Chapter 4~
He cleared his throat, trying to control his feelings as he continued to open the basket entirely. "He packed a lot," Chan awkwardly said as he started to pull them out.
"Omg, Felix made brownies," Seungmin excitedly said, turning his head to the smell, moving from Chan's hold as he quickly picked up the tray.
"He insisted," Chan smiled at his excitement.
"I love his brownies so much," he said, already ready to open them.
"More than me," Chan said lowly behind him.
"Hm."
"Nothing, let's eat," he smiled. "Are you cold??"
"Mhm," Seungmin shook his head, moving on from what he didn't quite catch, still holding the plate in his hands. Chan grabbed one from the side. A fluffy blue blanket. Small but enough for two if they sat close together. Jeongin definitely bought it with that intention. He unfolded it, pulling it around the younger. Tucking it tightly while his attention fixed on the preparation.
"What are we eating first??" he asked Chan, overwhelmed by the options as he sifted through the basket.
"Whatever you want. But not the brownies. We'll save that for later." Seungmin pouted but ultimately agreed, setting them down and settling on another dish.
"Wanna watch a movie??" Chan proposed, grabbing his laptop from beside him.
"Sure, but only if I can sit there and watch," he responded, pointing at his lap.
"Of course," he smiled, giving him room, which he immediately occupied. Snuggling back into his arms. Chan took another blanket, similar to the last, and wrapped it around them. He pulled up his selection of downloaded movies, letting Seungmin choose again.
"A Star is Born," Seungmin turned, softly looking up at him.
"Oh, is that one in there." Chan smiled at him, playing dumb. But in fact, he purposely downloaded it, aware it was one of his favorite movies. Seungmin smiled back as he turned back to the computer and started the movie. Chan kissed the side of his head, grabbing themselves both something to eat.
"Thank you so much for doing this," Seungmin continued to smile; he couldn't hide it as he accepted the plate from him.
"Thank you for letting me," he replied, returning his smile. That fond, adoring smile that he always had in his presence. Seungmin gently reached his hand to cup his cheek, leaning up and quickly pecking his lips before pulling away, nuzzling his face in the crook of his neck, and re-focusing on the movie.
Chan held Seungmin while he laid between his legs, suffocating him in the warmth of the blankets, masking the cold winter air from him. The sky dimmed around them with the sound of the movie paired with the sound of the crashing waves behind them. Both enjoyed the delicious meals Minho cooked for them.
It was the perfect night, their perfect night. Just the two of them, and, of course, they had Felix's brownies.
A little while after the movie finished, and the two moved through barely half of the basket. A little before the sun was about to finally set. The two now faced the water, and Seungmin's head rested on Chan's thigh. Brushing his fingers through his soft blonde hair.
"It's so pretty," Seungmin said, looking out to the water. Watching the sun paint the sky pink and the clouds quickly fading past.
"Isn't it??" he smiled as he continued brushing through his hair. His eyes locked on his face. On his soft, rounded cheeks. Letting his thumb brush over them. "The prettiest," he softly added.
"Stop it," Seungmin said, swiping his hand away from his face and turning to look up at him.
"What?? I can't think you're prettier than the sunset," Chan smirked down at him with a teasing tone. Loving the way his cheeks instantly redden, trailing to the tips of his ears. His inability to speak by his flushed expression. "Cause you're the prettiest thing in my life," he added. Looking deeply into his eyes, grabbing the bottom of his chin and connected their lips.
Softly kissing him as his hand's grip intensified. Seungmin moved his hands up to his head as he equally leaned into the kiss, a little rougher than he had started. Chan tugged at his lips as he softly pulled away from him. Softly laughing at his innocent gaze, quickly kissing him once more, then both of his tinted red cheeks.
"I love you," Chan whispered by his ear before fully leaning his head up.
"And I love you more than Felix's brownies," Seungmin giggled as he lifted his head from Chan's lap.
"Oh, you heard."
"Mhm," he said, grabbing the last one off the tray. Taking a bite, then offering one to Chan. "They are really good, though," he continued, finishing off the piece.
"You love me more than Felix's brownies," Chan softly whined to him, grabbing his waist again.
"Time to go home," Seungmin annoyingly replied, pulling away from him.
"Wait, I'm sorry. I don't want this night to end."
"Who said it had to??" he said, placing the leftovers in the basket.
"Right time to go home," Chan excitedly said, refolding the blankets, helping put everything together, and carrying it to the car where Changbin was waiting in the parking lot.
