~Chapter 9~

A little while after, the two laid in bed facing each other. Seungmin cutely slept while Chan rested on his arm, watching him. "How cute," he softly whispered to himself, raising his hand to push away the hair out of his eyes. Softly smiling at how his cheeks puckered against the pillow. Letting his thumb softly brush against them. Seungmin softly moaned as he raised his hand to the faint touch.

"Are you watching me sleep??" he groggily asked, his eyes still shut closed.

"Maybe," he laughed.

"How long have you been awake??" he embarrassedly whined, opening his eyes to him smiling down at him.

"Not long, I swear. You're just so cute when you sleep," he teased as he sat up.

"And now I'm up," he softly yawned, sitting up as well.

"Wait, I'm sorry. You can go back to sleep. I won't watch you," he laughed as he playfully turned his head away.

"Well, I'm up now, so it's okay,"

"Hey, can I ask you something,"

"Mhm," he hummed as he grabbed the half-water bottle on his side table and took a sip, offering some to Chan. He shook his head no.

"If you're not a dumb jock, what are you??" He genuinely asked.

"A smart one," he joked after swallowing his sip.

"I'm serious..tell me about yourself," he coaxed.

"About myself.." he trailed off, trying to think about what to say. Chan happily smiled at him, ready to learn all about him. "Well, I pretty much only do baseball," he laughed, knowing it didn't help the dumb jock opposition.

"I mean, it's all I've done since college," he clarified. I actually was recruited early, before I even finished college. But I wanted to graduate on time, so I declined the offer," he laughed. "Despite everyone telling me it was a bad idea," he shrugged.

"You graduated??" he asked, making sure he knew he was listening.

"Yeah, I majored in criminology and minored in computer programming..I just really like computers," he laughed, watching him try to connect the two.

"But you like the game, right??"

"Oh, I love it. Ever since I was little. I threw my first pitch when I was two," he passionately continued. Chan couldn't help but smile, listening to him talk about the sport. He could tell he really loved it. The way his eyes lit when asked the question. The excitement in his voice as he answered.

"What's wrong??" He shyly asked.

"Sorry, I'm still imagining a baby player 11," he laughed.

"See, the teasing stops now," Seungmin firmly said with a smile.

"Hey, you started it, and now I can't stop," Chan defended himself, still laughing at him.

"I'm done talking about me; you tell me something,"

"Hm, well, I'm probably not as smart as you," he lightly laughed. I work in music."

"You're not a singer, right??"

"No, I'm not. Would it be bad if I was??"

"I mean no, but yes. I absolutely can NOT date a singer," he exaggerated.

"Okay, I'm not a singer, but I do own a music company and record label,"

"So you work with singers??"

"Yeah, I managed them. I'm basically the main producer, writer, composer..everything really,"

"And I'm the rich one," Seungmin laughed.

"What do you mean??"

"Well, unless the company is doing poorly. All the royalties, the songs are literally all credited in your name," he explained.

"I'm not rich; I just have money," he playfully rolled his eyes. Plus, it's not a big deal. I'm just one part of it. The company isn't big because of me," he waved off.

"I see you tend to sell yourself short often. I'm not letting you do that with me." Seungmin assured.

"With you..as in together.." he teased again. Does this mean I'm getting a second date," he asked annoyingly, grinning at him.

"Chan, I let you go to every one of my bases. You were definitely not all talk," he blushed, recalling the events of their exciting night. Of course, you're getting a second date," he laughed gently, pushing his shoulder. Chan's lips instantly crept into a bright smile, hearing him say that. Seungmin let out a loud giggle as Chan jumped on him, pushing him back on the bed, aggressively shaking him as he relentlessly kissed him everywhere.

"I think I'm gonna fall in love with you, Player 11," he smiled down at him as he pulled away.

"I think I already have, Mr. Home Run," Seungmin giggled as he raised his hand to hold his cheek, his thumb rubbing soft circles as he stared deeply into his eyes. He was already too far gone as Chan fondly smiled back, leaning down and softly kissing his lips. ~~
