Michaella's POV

The soft chime of my alarm pulled me out of sleep at exactly 8 a.m. I stretched, feeling the gentle warmth of the morning sun filtering through my curtains. I had two hours before Elijah would pick me up, and though the day ahead was packed, I felt a surge of excitement. Today was one of those days that promised a mix of productivity and unexpected moments.

I slid out of bed and headed to the bathroom for a quick, refreshing shower. The warm water cascaded down my back, easing away any lingering traces of sleep. As I stepped out, the steam curled around me, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the day ahead. I wrapped myself in a soft towel, mentally running through my schedule—shopping with Elijah, submitting the final draft of my book, a photoshoot, and dinner with friends.

Once dressed, I inspected myself in the mirror. I had opted for a slick ponytail, knowing it would keep my hair neat throughout the day. My outfit was comfortable yet stylish: a blue blazer draped over a blue bralette, paired with wide-legged jeans. The look was polished yet relaxed—perfect for a long day that would end in a photoshoot. I grabbed an apple from the kitchen and sat down at my desk, scrolling through emails that Sarah had forwarded to me. The usual mix of updates, requests, and confirmations awaited, but I quickly prioritized the ones that needed immediate attention.

By the time the clock struck 10, Elijah texted me that he was outside. I grabbed my bag and headed out the door, my heart light with anticipation. As I stepped outside, the crisp morning air greeted me, and I spotted Elijah leaning casually against his car, a grin on his face.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," he teased as I approached.

"Morning, you," I shot back, giving him a playful shove as I slid into the passenger seat. "Ready for some retail therapy?"

"Always," he replied, revving the engine and pulling away from the curb.

The mall was bustling with activity, the hum of conversations and the occasional laugh filling the air. Elijah and I made our way through the entrance, immediately greeted by the familiar scent of fresh coffee and the sight of stores filled with the latest trends.

"Coffee first?" Elijah suggested, nodding toward a cozy café tucked into a corner.

"Absolutely," I agreed. We ordered our drinks—an iced latte for him and a hazelnut macchiato for me—and found a table by the window. As we waited for our drinks, we chatted about everything and nothing, the ease of our friendship always bringing comfort.

"So, how're the auditions going?" I asked, stirring my drink when it arrived.

"Good as always," Elijah replied with a shrug. "You know I love it. But sometimes I want to stop for a little.."

"Yeah I understand, maybe, I've been thinking we can collab on an episode" I said, feigning exhaustion.

He chuckled. "Yeah, that's a cool idea, why not."
