Michaella's POV

The sun was just beginning to peek through the curtains as I opened my eyes, feeling the warmth of the morning light on my face. It was going to be a beautiful day, and I could already sense it. A sense of calm washed over me as I lay in bed, reflecting on how far I had come. The whirlwind of emotions from the past few months was beginning to settle, and I felt a quiet strength building within me. Today was a day for joy, for laughter, and for being surrounded by the people who had been my anchor through it all.

I rolled out of bed, stretching my arms above my head as I walked to the window. Pulling back the curtains, I let the sunlight flood the room, illuminating every corner with its golden glow. I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude, not just for the day ahead, but for everything I had in my life—the people who loved me, the work that fulfilled me, and the future that felt like it was just beginning to unfold.

After a quick shower, I slipped into a comfortable yet stylish outfit—a cream dress, paired with a cream boots and a pink coat, with my pink Miu Miu. I took my time with my morning routine, savouring each moment. I carefully applied a light layer of makeup, just enough to enhance my features, and let my hair fall naturally around my shoulders.

By the time I was ready, it was still early. I grabbed my phone and sent a quick text to Elijah, Matthew, and Alan: "Good morning! Ready for our day together? Can't wait to see you all!"

Almost immediately, my phone buzzed with replies, each one filled with excitement. We had planned a day out, just the four of us, and I couldn't wait. It had been a while since we had all been together without any interruptions, and I knew today was going to be special.

I met Elijah at our favourite breakfast spot, a cozy little café tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. As soon as I walked in, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries filled my senses. Elijah was already seated at a table near the window, a bright smile on his face as he waved me over.

"Michaella, you look radiant," he said, standing up to give me a hug.

"Thank you, Elijah. You're not too bad yourself," I replied with a wink as we both sat down.

We ordered our usual—a croissant for him, avocado toast for me, and two cups of the café's best coffee. As we waited for our food, we fell into an easy conversation, catching up on the little things in life that we hadn't had the chance to discuss in a while.

"I saw the last episode of your podcast," Elijah said, his tone more serious. "It was... powerful, Michaella. Really."

"Thank you," I said softly, feeling a lump in my throat. "It wasn't easy to record, but I needed to say those things—to let go, finally."

Elijah reached across the table, placing his hand over mine. "You've come so far. I'm so proud of you."

His words touched me deeply. I had always known Elijah to be a source of strength and wisdom in my life, and hearing his pride in me meant more than I could express.
