Michaella's POV

I woke up early to the soft light filtering through my curtains, the morning promising a day just for me. I stretched, feeling the pleasant ache from yesterday's workout. Today, I had no deadlines, no meetings—just time to enjoy life.

After slipping into my workout gear, I headed to the gym. The familiar routine was comforting, the rhythmic sound of weights clinking and the low hum of conversation in the background. I pushed myself hard, losing myself in the burn of each exercise. It felt good cleansing, almost. After an hour, I finished up with a satisfying cool-down, my body pleasantly tired.

On my way home, I stopped by my favourite coffee shop. The small, cozy place was buzzing with the morning crowd. I walked up to the counter, where the barista, a new guy I hadn't seen before, greeted me with a bright smile.

"Good morning! What can I get for you today?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief.

"Good morning. I'll have a cappuccino, please," I replied, smiling back.

He nodded, expertly working the espresso machine. As he handed me my cup, I noticed he had scribbled something on the side. In bold, neat letters, it said: Beautiful. My cheeks flushed slightly as he handed me the drink.

"Here you go. One cappuccino for the beautiful lady," he said with a playful grin, sliding a napkin towards me with what I quickly realized was his number.

I laughed softly, taking the cup. "Thanks. You're very charming."

"Only when I meet someone who deserves it," he quipped, giving me a wink. I shook my head, amused, and pocketed the napkin. It was a nice boost to my morning.

Back home, I took my time in the shower, letting the hot water soothe my muscles. It was one of those long, luxurious showers where you just let the steam envelop you and the worries of the world wash away. By the time I stepped out, I felt like a new person.

I threw on a comfy robe and grabbed my phone, sending a quick message to our group chat: Tonight at my place, 8 PM. We're celebrating the week that passed—no excuses! I added a string of emojis for good measure, already excited about the evening.

Next on the agenda was a trip to the grocery store. I walked through the aisles, filling my cart with everything I needed for the night—fresh ingredients for salads, an assortment of dips, various cheeses, and cured meats for charcuterie boards. I even picked out a few bottles of wine that I knew my friends would love.

As I was leaving, a bouquet of flowers caught my eye—bright, vibrant, perfect for the dinner table. I added them to my cart with a smile. They would add just the right touch to the evening.

On the way home, I made a quick stop at the mall. I wanted to get something special for everyone who had been by my side lately. They deserved it.

For my mom, I picked out a sleek black YSL purse that I knew she would adore. For Dad, an elegant lighter—he was always misplacing his. Valerie and Andrew had been eyeing the latest iPad and pen, so I grabbed those for them, and for Ariana, the baby of the family, I chose a Dior makeup collection. I could already imagine her squealing with excitement.
