Onika POV
One month later
December rolled in so fast, I felt like my head was spinning with the last minute preparations for birthday . Between work and trying to plan something for my birthday I felt overwhelmed. I finally wanted to actually celebrate my birthday, which I haven't done in years. I was planning to take a friends trip to Jamaica but everyone's schedules were in the air. At this point I would have just been satisfied with a nice dinner with Bey and the kids.
It's been a two months since we got back from Paris, and it was nothing less than memorable. We took a yacht to France and stayed in Cannes for the remainder of our stay. We connected, made lots love and memories. The dynamic of our relationship definitely shifted to a more stable dynamic. We were communicating more and Taraji even picked up on it during our last few sessions. I knew it took a lot for Beyoncé to finally open up to me but I was happy to share her burdens. Her entire aura shifted in the most positive manner. In these the two month she's made it a mission for us to go on dates at least once a week, if we're weren't both to tired. Me being tired from work and her being tired of managing the kids and their numerous activities, plus her still doing behind the scenes work for her company.
She took being a stay at home mom with a stride. Though we still bumped heads when it came to making decisions for the kids, witnessing her in mommy mode always did something to me.
I must say I've seen a shift in the kids behavior. Beyoncé had them on a tight schedule always. Rumi was still the princess of the castle and no matter how much we spoke to her, she deemed it her way or the highway.
I loved my babygirl to pieces, but I had most certainly left it up to Beyoncé to deal with her feisty attitude. Rumi was literally on cloud nine with her mom back around, which meant she wasn't terrorizing the rest of us.
Tonight was date night and I was able to sneak out of work earlier than expected. As soon as I opened the front door I heard a heard little feet running towards me.
"Mommy!" Sir and Papa semi-whispered as I came through the front door of the house.
"Mommy I missed you." Papa whispered clutching my leg, while Sir occupied the others.
"I miss you guys too, why are you whispering?" I asked placing my keys down.
"Mommy said it's quiet time, she's on her laptop." Papa said pointing toward the door.
I shook my head looking down at him and his brother in their matching pajamas. Only Beyoncé could get them bathe and dressed on time for bed.
"I'm going to take a shower and tuck you guys in bed. Where's Rumi and Blue?" I asked looking around the empty entertainment room.
"Mommy gave Rumi the sleep candy, Blue is in her room on the phone."
"Sleep candy?" I shook my head placing my bag down. "Mommy's going to go take a shower, then I'll read tuck you guys in okay?"
They smiled running off down the hall, leaving me to navigate my way to Blue's room. Her door was still missing so there wasn't nothing for me to knock on. I guess she felt my presence and looked up from her phone.
"Hey mom, you're home early... Date night?"
"Yea..." I blushed taking a seat on her desk chair.
"You guys just need to get married at this point."
"Easier said than done Blueberry...What did you do today since there was no school."
"Oh nothing, trying to get caught up on this literature class that I have a C in. You know mom would lose her shit, report card day is next week. And I want a Stefano Ricci backpack for Christmas."
