Chpt.10: Temporary Stay

Chapter 10

I got up from the couch and headed outside.

"Where are you going?" Carlisle asked me.

I turned and smiled a little.

"Outside." I replied.

They all followed me out into the cold.

"I am really strong." I began.

I looked around till I spotted a boulder.

"Yea...sure." Emmett said teasingly.

I glared at him. And walked towards the boulder and picked it up throwing it toward him.

"You were saying..." I said smirking.

"Holy shit." She is being for real.

I watched their surprised faces. Then continued.

"I can run really fast." I said to them.

I ran from the boulder to where they stood a little under a second.

They stared at me in awe.

"Are you guys okay?"I asked.

Carlisle smiled widely at me.

I yawned and shook my head.

"Maybe we can continue tomorrow. Start fresh." Esme said.

Carlisle smiled and nodded

"That would be good." He said.

I nodded and started heading away from the house.

"Cora! Where are you going?" Alice asked me.

I looked at them confused.

"To sleep." I told them simply.

"You said you didn't have a home." She said to me.

"I don't. I sleep under the bridge right before you into Forks." I told her sleepily.

"What?!"she said incredulously.

"Uhh...yea." I said embarrassed.

"Your staying here." She said.

I couldn't find it in me to argue I was exhausted.

I went to the house and Alice hugged me. I smiled and hugged her back.

"You can stay in Edwards room for now." Esme said.

"Wait where will Edward sleep?" I asked glancing at him. He just smiled and shook his head.

"Cora we have a secret of our own." Carlisle said softly.

I looked at him curiously.

"Do I get to know what it is?" I asked shyly.

"Tomorrow." Carlisle said with a smile.

I stared at the Doc for a while. Then I smiled.

"Tomorrow." I replied more to myself then to him.

Tomorrow was a new day. Anything could happen. I believed that now.
