Chapter 17

I found myself waking up for the second time in Edward's room. I got up and looked to see I was wearing pj's.

"Alice.." I said with a smile.

I made my downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning Cora." I heard Emmett and Jasper call from the game system.

"Morning." I mumbled.

"Esme went to run a few errands and said that there was cereal in the pantry." Emmett told me.

"Ok." I yawned.

I made my way to the kitchen for some cereal. I went to the pantry and saw Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I was to lazy to pick it up so I used my telekenisis. The box floated in the air. I sat at the counter and propped my head on my hand. Then I used my telekenisis to get the milk, bowl, and spoon. I used my mind to pour the milk, then put cereal and milk back.

"Wow! You must be tired." I heard someone say.

It was Bella and Edward was with her.

I just nodded and picked up the spoon and ate. Edward came up behind me and tickled my sides. I giggled and tried to get away.

"There's the smile I love." He said teasingly.

I rolled my eye and finished eating my cereal.

"Cora. Edward and the others are going on a weekend hunting trip. Even though you don't have a scent to them they don't think it's a good idea that you go." She told me.

"Oh. Okay. I'll just stay here." I said to her.

"Actually. You can't stay here alone. It's not safe." Edward said looking me in the eyes.

I shook my head and glared.

"Do you not trust me? Are you afraid I will take you valuables?" I said irritated. I really wasn't a morning person. I got up and made my way to the sink.

I looked at Edward he looked shocked.

"No Cora. That's not why we don't want you to be here alone." He said. Edward moved at vampire speed and stood in front of me.

"We just don't want to take any chances of you getting hurt." He said picking me up and sitting me on the counter.

"I can take care of myself Edward. You know that. I've been doing it since I was 7." I told him seriously.

"Cora they are just worried about you besides I think you will enjoy today." Bella told me smiling.

"Where am I going?" I asked her.

"You'll be staying the night with me and were spending the day on the Rez. There's a beach!" She informed me.

"Ok. Down time with Bella sounds fun." I said with a grin.

Edward chuckled and wrapped a arm around Bella.

"Should we tell her about Jake?" Bella asked Edward.

"You can. I can't because of the treaty." He said to her.

"Treaty?" I asked confused.

"Yea you see Cora some of the people on the Rez are werewolf's. My best friend Jake is one that's who we will be with today. We will be safe there because they shift to protect people from vampires." She explained.

I stared at her with big eyes.

"Werewolf's?!" I exclaimed.

"They want hurt you Cora. I promise. I'm pretty sure you'll come to like them." She said smiling.

Edward put his hand on my cheek and made me look at him.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to. Some of us can stay and go as another group to hunt." He said.

"No! I'm going. I wasn't excepting werewolf's to exists thats all."I said trying to assure him.

"See Edward I told you she wouldn't mind." Bella said smugly.

Edward just rolled his eyes and mumbled something about werewolf's being unstable. Bella ignored him and smiled at me.

"We will have fun." She said happily.

Carlisle and Esme came into the kitchen and smiled.

"Morning Cora. I'm sorry I wasn't here to cook you breakfast." Esme apologized.

"It's okay I made me a good ole bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch." I told her. She smiled and nodded.

"Did they tell you about our hunting trip?" Carlisle asked me.

"Yep. I'm hanging with Bella and her wolfy friends." I joked.

He smiled and chuckled softly.

Edward and Bella left the room and it was just me, Esme and the Doc.

"We're sorry to be leaving you so soon Cora. But we really need to hunt." Carlisle said apologetically.

"It's okay I'm actually looking forward to meeting the natives." I said with a smile.

"Never the less we will make it up to you. When you get back we will have a surprise." Esme said grinning.

"A surprise?" I asked curiously.

"Yep! I know you will love it." Esme said excitedly.

"Do I get a hint?" I asked her.

"Nope!" She said to me.

I looked to the Doc to see if he would give me a hint. He just smiled and shook his head.

"Fine."I sighed still trying to figure out what it could be.

Esme went a started doing dishes.

"Cora by the time you are down getting ready to leave I will be gone of to work. I just wanted to say my goodbyes now." He said kind of awkwardly.

I jumped down from the counter and stared up at him. Then I gave him a huge hug. He laughed and hugged me back. Then I let him go.

"Goodbye Carlisle. I will see you Sunday." I said to him.

"Goodbye Cora." He said kissing the top of my head.

I smiled up at him and he began to leave the kitchen.

"Doc." I said.

He turned and looked at me.

I ran and gave him another hug.

"Just another for the road." I said smiling.

He laughed and shook his head.

"I shall see you Sunday." He told me.

"Sunday." I agreed.

Then he left for work.

I turned to see Esme smiling slightly while washing the dishes.

I knew she had watched the entire thing.
