Chpt.29: Forgiving & Understanding

Chapter 29

When we made it back to the Emily's we found everyone lounging around outside.

"Ha! I won!" I said turning around and smiling.

Collin narrowed his eyes and playfully stuck out his tongue.

"I let you win." he said smirking.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. Collin chuckled and threw one of his arms around my shoulders. I reached up and intertwined our fingers.

"Well if it isn't our youngest love birds." Quil said teasingly. I looked at Quil and blushed, leaning into Collin even more then I already was.

"Hey Guys." Collin said to everyone with a small smile. I waved but kept quiet.

"So I'm guessing you took the imprinting well." Kim said grinning from her spot on Jared's lap.

I nodded and then looked up at Collin with a small smile. He grinned back and kissed my temple.

"Awee! Aren't they just adorable." Emily gushed.

I heard A couple of the guys give fake gags and I turned and lodged a couple rocks at them with my mind. Which of course sent Kim in to a fit of laughter.

A chorus of "What the hell"'s were heard from some of the boys.

Once Kim calmed down she looked at me then my pants pocket.

"Your phone keeps lighting up. I frowned and looked down.

I reached my phone out of my pocket to find I had 15 missed calls from Edward. And 14 text messages from Bella Alice and Emmett.

I bit my bottom lip and stared at the screen.

"Why are you avoiding them?" Collin asked concerned.

"Because I got mad at something that seems kinda silly now that I think about it." I said shrugging.

Everyone started to make the way inside an me and Collin stayed, still standing in front of the house.

I sighed and took a seat on the front porch steps. Collin took the seat next to me and I poured my heart out to him. I told him about how the Cullen's weren't happy with me being around him. I told him about how they had teased me about liking him. I even mustered up the courage to tell him about the horrible acts I had committed and why the Cullen's laughing at me reminded me of the same situation. Once I was finished he sat there for a second before speaking.

"I think you should talk to them. They are your family now so you shouldn't let something in the past interfere with something in the future. Especially if it's something you care about." He said grabbing my hand and squeezing it.

I nodded. "Your right." I then bit my lip and looked at him. "Aren't you disgusted with me? I tell you I have killed people and you don't even blink an eye."

He stared at me and the leaned forward and kissed my lips.

"Your good. & I know you didn't mean to do those things. I really like you Cora. I could never be disgusted by you."

I smiled and pressed my lips to his once more.

"Ok." I said to him. " I'll call them."

Collin smiled and nodded.

I grabbed my phone and saw I had an incoming call from Alice. taking a deep breathe I answered it.

"Hey." I said softly.

"Cora!! oh thank god your alright. I can't see you....Cora were so sorry. We didn't mean to upset you!" Alice said aplogetically.

"It's okay. I overeacted." I said softly.

"Sweetheart where ar-..." She started to say before Edwards voice broke through the line.

"Cora! Is that you? Are you hurt. where are you?" He said worredly

"No, I'm not hurt and I'm at Emily's with Collin." I replied. I moved closer to Collin and laid my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around me, pulling me close.

"Cora..." Edward began.

"Eddie Collin isn't going to hurt me & I'm not going to stop seeing him. I care about him and he cares about me." I said defiently.

I heard Edward sigh. I knew he wasn't on board with me seeing Collin, but he might as well get used to it because Collin wasn't going anywhere.

"Look. Jacob is going to bring you to the treaty line and were going to come pick you up."

"Edward! I can run home!"

"No, Jacob will bring you to us. I don't want you out alone."

I sighed and but decided to just go with it.

"Fine."

"See you soon." Edward said before hanging up.

I turned to Collin and he smiled.

"I'll ride with you if you want." He said smiling.

I grinned and nodded.

Not long after Jacob came out of the house with his keys in hand.

"Come on Cora." he said making his way to his car.

Me and Collin followed taking up seats I the back.

The ride to the treaty line was short & of course my family was already there. I got out the car and grabbed Collins hand and began walking.

After a couple steps Collin released my hand. I frowned and looks up at him.

"I don't think it's a good idea for me to go over there."

I sighed and nodded my head. Then I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Bye Collin."

"Bye Cora."

He hesitantly leaned down. I knew he was debating whether it was good to kiss me in front of my vampire family. I grinned and leaned up and met his lips half way. Then I pulled away and started making my way to my family.

The guys wore hard expressions and seemed to be glaring at Collin and the girls seemed to be suppressing smiled, well except Rosalie she had a blank expression.

The second I was over the treaty line I was engulfed in a motherly hug.

"Oh sweetheart we were so worried."

"Sorry." I mummbled.

"Just don't scare us like that again." she said leading me over to the others.

I was hugged by everyone except Rose and Jasper of course.

I avoided looking at Jasper. I felt bad for using my power on him. I don't think he really liked me before and I know he probably really hates me now.

I got in the back of Carlisle's black car and u rode home with him an Esme in silence.

I stared out the window for a minute before looking at the trees. It was then I remembered the red headed vampire women.

Who was she?

I pondered whether to tell the Cullen's about her. I knew the women must know of the wolfs I had seen her multiple times. Why would she keep coming back if there is a chance she might die?

We pulled into the driveway and got out of the cars. Carlisle turned and wrapped an arm around my shoulders to lead me into the house.

"Come Cora we have something we want to show you."

With that I came to the conclusion that I would tell them tomorrow. It's not like its that important or so I thought.
