Chpt.23:Texting

Chapter 23

We left Emily's house and drove to Jake's house. Which wasn't to far from where we had been. Just five minutes away. When we pulled up into the driveway a man rolled out in a wheelchair. He waved to us with a smile. On the way there Bella had told me how Jacob's dad was the Chief. He was the one of the the Superiors to the pack of wolfs. I found all of this fascinating. How could I have been so abnormal and never new other creatures were out there?

I made my way out of the car and over to Jacob's father. Jacob and Bella walked on either side of me.

"Hello Bella. Its nice to see you agian." He said grinning in her direction

He turned and looked at me. I watched him look me over before giving me a half-smile.

"You must be Cordelia." He held out his hand for me to shake.

"An you must be the Chief." I said smiling back softly.

He chuckled and nodded his head. "You can call me Billy. Come in. Charlie's already inside."

We followed him into the house. I saw a middle aged man with a with brown hair and eyes turn to look at us. 

"Sup Bells, Jake." He said to them with out turning around. Once he did he smiled in my direction.

"Cora right?" He said. I nodded and gave him  a wave.

"Charlie, Bella's dad." He said with an awkward nod.

"Nice to meet you Charlie." I said to him. He nodded his head and went back to the fish he was cooking.

I let my eyes roam over Jacob's house. It wasn't anywhere near the size of the Cullen's but it was cute and homey. I smiled at the pictures that decorated him wall. I walked along the wall analyzing every picture. I was so caught up in looking around that I didn't notice Billy roll up beside me.

"Sooo....Cordelia...--" Billy started.

"Cora." I corrected turning to him with a timid smile.

"Cora....look Charlie doesn't know about the...supernatural...so you can speak about it when he is around. ok?" He said to me with a serious expression.

"Of Course Billy. I will not speak of your secret to anyone who does not know of it." I reassured.

He nodded his head and looked up at the picture I had been looking at.

"That's Jacob's older twin sisters. Rachael and Rebecca." He said smiling.

"I bet it was nice to grow up with sisters." I said smiling.

"Yea...those three were a hand full." He said chuckling.

I nodded a small smile gracing my face. I looked up and saw Charlie in the doorway.

"Foods ready." He said before walking out again.

Once we had all gotten our food we sat at the table and ate. I laughed at all the stories that were told. Most about Bella on fishing trips. I looked at everyones faces and so the happiness in there eyes. It was nice to feel apart of something. After a couple hours we got our stuff from Jake's car and left to go back to Forks.

I had my eyes closed and my head leaned up agianst the window when I felt something in my pocket viberate. I reached in my pocket and pulled out the phone Edward had given me. It said that I had a new message. I flipped the phone open and smiled.

'Hey Cora' : Collin said.

I held in a giggle and began to txt him back.

'Hey Collin' : Me

'Wryd?' : Collin

'On my way back to Bella's'. You? : Me

'Laying in bed...thinking about you': Collin

'Me? Why? I'm hardly worth thinking about.': Me

'Yes you are and dont ever think any diffrent. I can't get you off my mind. When can I see you again?' :Collin

'Idk...maybe tomorrow. I'm sure Jake might come by. See if you can come with him.' :Me

"Okay! I will if you want me to that is.' :Collin

'I do. Is it weird if I say I kind of miss you?' :Me

'No...Cuz I miss you to....a lot. lol' ;Collin.

'Lol well you can see me tomorrow.'

I looked up from the phone to see us pulling in front of a two story white house. It had begun to drizzle, but that was to be expected in Forks. I carried my stuff up the porch. Once we were inside Bella showed me to her room. I sat on her bed when my phone viberated again.

'Okay. Well Goodnight Cora. Sweet Dreams and see ya tomorrow.' : Collin

'Night Collin. and okay.' :Me

I smiled at the screen like an idiot. I really did like Collin. It was like I was drawn to him.

"Why are you smilng at your phone like that? Get a text from your boyfriend?" Bella teased.

I blushed and threw a pillow at her.

"Yes, Collin texted me. He wants to see me tomorrow. Is it alright if he comes by?" I asked hopefully.

Bella smiled and nodded. "Yea sure." 

"Thanks..." I said blushing slightly.

"Soo....your probably tired. We should get some sleep." Bella said smiling.

I nodded and changed into some pj's. I layed in bed and stared out Bella's window. So much has happened. Vampires now Werewolfs. I sighed and closed my eyes. Then there was Collin. I don't know how I feel about him, but I know he will be a big part of my life now. I was drawn to him & him me. I would protect him with my life. It frightend me that I was attached to so many people all at once. This is exactly what I had been trying to prevent for so long. Maybe this time would be diffrent Or it might just be a lot worse. But for once in my life I was really happy. For once I was going to be selfish & and enjoy these gifts that I was given. Family, Love, & a Life.
