Chpt.14: Show and Tell

Chapter 14

As soon as Rosalie left the front door opened. I turned to see Edward and a girl with wavy brown hair and big Doe eyes. I assumed this was Bella.

"Hello. Cora." Edward said smiling.

"Hi." I said softly.

"I'd like you to meet my girlfriend." He said looking lovingly at Bella.

I got up and walked over to them.

"Cora. Bella." He said waving his hand between us.

"Bella. Cora." He told Bella.

"Hey! It's nice to finally meet you Cora. Edward wouldn't shut up about you." She said with a smirk.

I laughed and raised a eyebrow at him.

"I wasn't that bad." He said smiling at us.

"I hope it was all good." I said looking at Bella again.

"Of course." She said grinning.

Esme walked into the room with a warn smile.

"Hello Bella. It's nice seeing you again." She said hugging her.

"You too Esme." Bella replied while hugging her back.

"I see you have met Cora." Esme said smiling down at me.

"Yea. She's even nicer then Edward described." She said grinning.

Edward chuckled and kissed her head.

I blushed and smiled.

Carlisle came into the room and walked up to us.

"Hello Bella." He said.

"Hey." She said smiling.

Carlisle looked at me.

"Ready?" He asked me. I could see the excitement in his eyes.

"Yea." I said nodding my head.

Once more we headed outside.

I walked down the stairs till I was standing in the driveway.

"You said you guys were vampires. What gifts do you have?" I asked curiously.

"We have strength, and speed like you do. But some vampires get extra abilities. Like Edward, he can read minds." He explained to me.

"Read minds?!" I glanced at him a little freaked out.

"I can't read yours and Bella's for some odd reason." Edward said smirking.

I sighed.

"Don't worry your thoughts are safe." He said teasingly.

I stuck my tongue out childishly.

"Alice can see the future and Jasper can feel and control emotions." Carlisle went on.

I nodded my head.

"That's cool. I guess my gifts will be new to you guys then." I said to them.

By then the rest of them had shown up like yesterday.

"I can heal things. Which is why I don't have the injuries anymore." I said looking at the Doc.

"An earlier I told Edward one of my gifts was combustion." I said.

"Another gift I have is telekenisis." I told them.

I concentrated on the boulder and lifted it high into the air. Once it was high enough I blew it up into tiny little pieces. It began raining pebbles.

"That's interesting." Carlisle said smiling.

"I can control the elements."I continued. My eyes began to glow and the ground started moving. A piece of earth shot up in the air carrying me. I stopped and looked down at the others. They all stared in awe.

"Wow!" I heard Bella say.

I jumped from the column of earth as it fell down again. Just before I hit the ground a huge wind swept around me keeping me in the air a few seconds.

"You can fly?!" Emmett asked.

"I can stay up for a few seconds." I said to him.

"I'm still working on that." I sighed.

"Water is the easiest for me. I can make it so I can breathe when I'm under it." I said smiling.

"No swimming I just did your hair!" I heard Alice exclaim.

Everyone laughed at this.

"Alright I'll just show you fire." I said after a minute.

Again my eyes began to glow. I stared at them then all of a sudden blue fire shot from my hands.

After a moment it disappeared.

Everyone stared at me.

"Umm I can control fires and create them." I mumbled.

I walked towards them.

"Dammmn!" Emmett said finally.

I laughed.

"Your bad ass Cora." He said smiling.

"Emmett! Language." Esme said playfully.

"You have amazing gifts Cora." Carlisle said smiling.

"Your the first to ever say that." I told said to him.

"Thank you." I whispered.

"Your welcome." He said wrapping his arm around my shoulder leading back into the house.
