Chpt.24: La Push Beach

Chapter 24

The next morning I woke up to a ray of sunlight on my face. I smiled and quietly got out of the bed as to not wake up Bella. I knew it was unusual for it to be sunny in Forks and when it came you should never waste the day.

I sat by the window and closed my eyes, letting the heat warm my face. After a few minutes I heard Bella begin to wake up. I turned to see her jumping out the bed.

"The sun!" She cried happily.

I nodded my head and grinned up at the sky.

"You know what? How about we spend another day at the La Push beach?" She suggested. "We could cliff dive and you can see Collin."

I blushed as Bella smirked. That sounded like a fun and not just because Collin would be there. Though that was a wonderful benefit.

Bella went and called Jacob to tell him of our plans. I took the time to text Collin to let him now as well.

'Good Morning Collin'

Almost instantly he txted me back.

'Good morning Cora. Jake still goin dwn 2 forks?'

'No we decided 2 go bac up to the Rez & hang out at the beach. So u can just com dwn there if u want.'

'I will ;) '

'I'll txt you wen we are bout 2 leav'

'Ok :) see u in a bit'

'Bye<3'

I couldn't help but put the heart. I had only known him for a day and he already had me smiling like an idiot over a txt.

I decided to shower and get ready for the day. I put on a white floral print bikini that I found in my bag. A pink tank top with short shorts and flip flops.

I made my way down stairs to see Bella finishing a bowl of cereal.

"Hey. I called Jake and he's going to spread the word to the others."

I nodded and began getting my own bowl of cereal.

"Where's Charlie?" I asked curiously.

"He went fishing with some friends"

Bella got up and left to get changed. Once she was finished we got our towels and made our way out to her truck. I sent Collin a txt and then we were on our way.

When we reached the beach everyone was already there. Some were throwing a football and others were lounging on beach towels. I smiled at the scene.

Upon hearing the roar of the engine everyone turned to look our way. I looked around the group to see a shirtless Collin and Jake heading our way.

I blushed when we made eye contact. A wide grin spread across his face.

"Hey Bells...Cora." Jake said when he reached us.

I waved at him then looked back at Collin.

"Hey" he said nodding to Bella.

Bella smiled at him ans gave a quick hello before walking off with Jake. Leaving me alone with Collin.

I had to look up at him because he was so tall. He eyes seemed to soften as he stared back into mine.

"Hey." I said shyly letting my eyes fall to the ground.

"Hey." He said huskily. I watched his hand reach out and grab mine. I looked back up at him from under my eyelashes and blushed.

"Come on..."

His lips twiched as he took a step backwards towards the beach, tugging on my arm softly as he did.

I chewed my lip and followed him over to the others. Everyone smiled and said there 'hello s'. I just waved at them before turning to stare at the water.

I let go of Collins hand much to his disappointment and began stripping off my shorts and top. Once I had finished I turned back to him to see his eyes roaming my body. I blushed and crossed my arms over my chest.

He looked up at me and smiled.

"Your beautiful..."

That just caused a new blush to surface on my cheeks. Collin grabbed my hand once more. I boldly laced mine and Collins fingers and looked up at him. His eyes found mine and he smiled his infamous smile.

"Thanks.." I mumbled.

"Welcome..." Collin shrugged slightly.

I looked at the water once more and then back up at him.

"Wanna see something?" I looked up to see him nod. I dragged him to the water walking in it till we were knee deep.

"What are you going to do?" I grinned and looked along the beach. We were the only ones out so I wasn't worried about being seen.

"Just watch."

As soon as a wave was about to hit us my eyes glowed a bright blue. I lifted my arms into the air and the water began to rise high into the air. Collin stared wide eyed at the wave. I watched as the others on the beach stop what they were doing to watch in awe.

I spotted the group of guys closest to us and smirked. I threw my arms in there direction and the water flew and hit them getting them soaking wet. They screamed and me and Collin burst into laughter.

They glared at us and began to chase after us.

"RUN!" Collin said to me.

I used my speed and got me and Collin out of the water before they reached us. Then we both took of down the beach laughing.

The others chased after us and he turned and ran up a path that led to the cliff. When we reached the edge I hid behind him holding on to his arm.

"Your going to pay for that." Quil said glaring playfully.

"Am i?" I said grinning.

A chorus of 'yea s' were heard around the group.

I turned to Collin, he grinned as I reached up and whispered in his ear.

"When I say to were goin to jump." He nodded his grin growing wider.

I looked back at the others. I watched them narrow there eyes at us suspiciously.

"If you want to live you'll hand her over Collin." Embry said to Collin."So what will it be? Freedom or imminent death? Us or her?

I looked up at him to see what he would choose. I was curious to see if he would leave me hanging.

"Her....always" Collin said without hesitation. I grinned and then I leaned up to kiss his cheek. Then I turned to stick my tongue out at him.

He just shook his head.

"Dude your so whipped."

Collin grinned and shrugged. Then he turned and kissed my head.

"Get them both." Seth and Jared yelled.

The others from the beach came through the trees. Bella smiled and shook her head. I grinned back.

They began charging towards us.

"JUMP!!" I screamed.

Me and Collin turned with our hands laced together and ran and jump off the edge of the cliff.

We screamed the whole way down. I closed my eyes to feel the air whip around us. I opened my eyes and I knew the glowed a bright blue.

I heard Collin take a breathe. But I didn't plan to land in the water. I smirked and looked up at the sky.

I had another idea in mind.
