Chapter 38
Aria's POV:
My manager ran off set in a hurry. I need to finish this scene. Then, I can go look for him. The job comes first.
"Cut!" The director's voice rang in my ear. I look over and they're coming angrily. I could see steam coming from out of her ears.
"What was that?" They question. I look at Jason, completely dumbfounded. I look back at them.
"What was what?" I ask. The air was so tense that a knife couldn't cut through.
"Why did your manager come on set?" Their voice was cold and emotionless. I blink twice. Did they not hear that my best friend was missing?
"My best friend is missing," I said. They change their expression slightly. She walks away.
"He's an adult. He can handle himself." They went back to their chair. "Action!"
The camera started rolling again. Time to put on a show.
