Chapter 24

Jason's POV:

Once the fire in me had calmed down, I no longer felt the need to punch the nearest thing next to Justin's head.

"What was that about?" Aria questioned as we stepped into my trailer. I didn't want to see the look on her face.

"Nothing. It was nothing. What scene do you need help with?" I ask.

"I don't need help with lines. You said we needed to practice lines." She responded. I racked my brain with some other excuse.

"I need help with my lines. Can you just?" I tossed the paper at her, and she picked it up annoyed.

"You know your lines inside and out." She comments.

"Just for confidence sake." I plead.

"This is ridiculous." She mumbles under her breath. I lean in close,

"You're terrible at whispering."

She scoffs and throws the paper on the ground.

"Then, I'll say it louder." This. Is. Ridiculous."

"What is?" I question.

"You making up an excuse to see me."

"I don't want you to be around Justin," I say. Her eyes go wide.

"It's bold of you to tell me who I can and can't hang out with."

"Well, he's distracting to you."

"How so?"

"We could barely film the last session because you were too tired."

She closes her mouth and looks away from me. "You know I'm right."
