SORRY I MOSSED LAST UPDATE YALL I WAS AT A TOURNAMENT💔💔💔
"Hey i picked up some groceries from the store before i head to work," You walk into the house, seeing your sister curled up on the couch.
"That was so nice of you Y/N, thank you." Her voice, muffled by the pillow, reached your ears as you unpack.
"It's...no problem—um are you having people over again tonight?" You peak your head into the living room which is connected to the kitchen, looking upon the disheveled girl.
"Probably. You know every Tuesday is poker night." You nod with clenched teeth, "Oh I know."
She sits up at your tone, "What's with the attitude, sweetheart?"
You shake your head despite her not being able to see you, "It's nothing. I'll be home at midnight."
You grab your dinner out of the fridge, stuffing it in your bag and walking out.
—
You return home to multiple cars parked in and in front of your driveway. With a roll of your eyes you put your keys in the hole to unlock the door, only to find it's unlocked.
"Ayyy Y/N!". Immediately your sisters friend swings an arm around your shoulder, pulling your form toward the lot of them around the counter.
"How's my little working girl?" He asks, jostling you.
"Tired." You grumble, slinking out from under his arm. "I'm headed to bed. Goodnight."
As you walk away you hear your sister and him talking, "She's as monotone as ever."
"Well she's tired I'm sure, I just wish she'd loosen up a little bit, maybe get drunk with us every once in a while."
"Drunk Y/N? That's something i'd pay to—." You shut the door to your room, silencing the voices. You put your head against the door, taking a deep breath.
The smell of alcohol fills your nostrils and you whip your head around to see your sister's newest friend, "What the hell are you doing in my room?!"
The man is standing in a close proximity to you, and your hand is on the doorknob ready to show him out.
"Oh no, I'm sorry. I must've gotten lost." He apologizes, a smirk on his face.
"Let me show you back into the common area then," You mumble while starting to open the door, taking a step back to not be in the way of his exit.
Before you get to open it to a human sized exit, he reaches over you and shuts the door, advancing closer.
"I was thinking we'd have a little fun first Y/N-girl," Your eyes widen and your heart quickens, you shake your head furiously.
"No, no, get out." You state firmly, eyes darting around the room.
He chuckles, the stench of his breath making you sick as it hits your face. His hands find your hips, pinning them onto the wall.
You open your mouth to scream but he immediately wraps his large hand around it, you start to thrash at him, kicking and punching but he just slams you back into the door.
Before anything can advance further, you hear footsteps coming down the hall and he immediately releases you, throwing you to the middle of the room.
Your sister knocks on the door, "Hey Richie you in there?"
He opens the door, smiling, "Hey, sorry i was just coming back."
She nods, waving him off, "Yeah whatever. Y/N do you mind if I borrow a twenty for some pizza?"
You stand there, hair disheveled, tears in your eyes, desperately praying she'll reach out to you, say something, anything.
"I'll take that as a yes, thanks girly." She smiles, hooking her arm with "Richie" and leading him
out of your room.
You grab your head, kicking the door closed and then locking it.
You fall onto your bed, curling up into a tiny ball.
When you awake the next morning, you realized you slept through your alarms and you most likely were late to school.
You didn't care, your body felt like a pound of bricks as you lugged it downstairs.
"Good morning sleepy! Little miss skipper huh?". You don't respond, just continuing to slowly walk past her, plopping down on the chair and putting your head in your hands.
"Richie told me what happened," After a beat of silence, you look up at her, your eyes filled with hope. Hope for your sister to see you, to understand. To have a moment of some sort of connection, sympathy, from your half sister.
"Can't you just lighten up for once?" Your heart sinks, what does that even mean? You've been told that since you were born, lighten up? How?
"I mean—just because you're like a child born of rape or whatever doesn't mean every man who makes a move on you wants to do that." You blink at her, you couldn't believe what she was saying.
"You're a pretty girl, though that height of yours dwindles it a tad, you're still going to have male suitors."
You stare at her, unmoving. It doesn't even seem like she notices as she continues to speak, "Anyway Mom sent me a check or whatever with a post card. She's in new guinea right now."
The shock doesn't wear off but this peaks your interest, "Oh good, where's the money? We need it for rent this month."
Your sister waves you off, "I'll take care of it sweetheart, don't worry, go to school."
"I..Okay."
You trust her, every single time you trust her.

"Hey we got a late fee in the mail, you never paid the rent?" You push open the door your house, immediately smelling booze. Your hands find your face and you groan, walking into the living room to find the woman herself passed out on the couch.
"Fucking hell," You nudge her awake, standing in front of her. Her eyes crack open and she gives you a lazy smile, "There's my favorite half sissy."
"You didn't pay the rent." You stand with your arms crossed, looking down at her like a disappointed parent.
"Oh lighten up Y/N—"
"Where's the money?" You cut her off, your eyebrows raised. She scoffs, sitting up and running a hand through the tangled mess of her hair.
"I spent it all," She pronounces each word with a mocking flick of her tongue.
"Are you kidding me?! All of it?!" You exclaim, she recoils, covering her ears.
"Y/N it's not a big deal, stop yelling." You scoff, "It's not a big deal?! I'm going to have to use my savings again!"
"And I appreciate that! I swear I didn't mean to, you know I can't control it. It's an addiction, I'm sorry." She looks down at her hands, a sad look on her face.
You exhale, rubbing a hand down your face. "It's fine, I'll just work a lot this week."
She stands up, looking at you with glassed over eyes, "No Y/N don't forgive me, I'm a terrible person—a terrible sister to you.". She looks to the side in shame.
You frown at her words, she wasn't terrible. "You're not a terrible sister."
She looks up again, her eyebrows pushed together, "You're too good to me." She says with a bittersweet smile, walking up and giving you a hug.
