As soon as the team walks into the convention center, Kitomi's boyfriend spots you all and starts waving his arms around wildly, obviously wanting his girlfriend.
She's not embarrassed one bit as she bolts away from you and up the stairs, he meets her half way and they share an embrace where she's suspended in the air.
When you make it up there, you plop down next to Tobio on the outside, leaning your head back to look at Akaashi behind you.
"Why didn't I get that kind of greeting from you two?" Akaashi pokes your forehead, "Cuz you don't deserve it."
"Fuck off," You grumble, sitting up and looking at Tobio.
"What's your excuse?" You narrow your eyes, he rolls his in return.
"Shut up," You chuckle at his response, sitting back and crossing your legs. "Anyway, who are we scouting today?"
"Your mom," Mira, from behind you to the right of Akaashi by two chairs says, hitting you with the paper towel roll thing she took when you all finished the roll this morning.
"Okay ow that actually hurt?!" You exclaim, grabbing your head.
Tobio moves your palm, looking at the spot. "You're fine." He dismisses your dramatic display.
"I never said i wasn't, amiright Akaashi?" You turn and hold up a fist at the boy, prepped and ready for him to bump.
"No." He responds blandly, putting his hand over your fist and gear shifting it.
"Where'd you learn that one?" You ask sarcastically, pulling your hand away.
"Would you believe me if I said I made it up?" He prompts, his face remaining stoic.
"No, because you literally didn't," You say with a deadpan, turning over to Tobio, "Amiright Oi-Bot?"
He snails your fist bump and you laugh, he watches you as you do so, watching as your head goes back. He observes the way your eyes crinkle at the sides and your smile lines show.
Meanwhile, Akaashi observes the boy, inwardly resigning himself from the competition as he knew his and Tobios feelings of you are drastically different.
He also heard what Teruhashi told Bokuto, that boy Oikawa loved you. He didn't stand a chance. They both are like idols. It was only a puppy crush anyway, he only just met you.
He gazes at you as you talk over his sleeping teammate, discussing something trivial with Bokuto and Kitomi. He smiles, you will be an amazing friend to him. He didn't need the romantic factor to want to be around you and get to know you.
That's always one dimensional anyway, people should always be friends before anything.
Akaashi firmly sets his opinion and feelings in his mind, his face returning to its usual form.
"What were you smiling at cheeseball?" You caught his momentary slip of emotion, and he looks back at you, his gaze slightly annoyed.
"I'm a cheeseball because I'm happy?" His eyebrows furrow, and you nod, "You were cheesing..."
"Just watch the game Y/N. Weirdo." He says with a sigh, he only smiles once you turn around in a huff, crossing your arms together as you face forward.
Teruhashi watches from a far, shaking her head, "That girl is a magnet." She mutters to herself.
"Yeah for real," Konoha cuts in, the girl narrows her eyes at him, "What do you know about Y/N?"
"Jack shit." He respond with a grin.
"This is why you're my least favorite out of all of Kous teammates," She spits, her glare sharp.
"Nuh uh."
"Yuh huh." She mimics back, turning toward her boyfriend while sticking a middle finger at the boy.
He chuckles, turning back to the match with everyone else.
