When Naruko arrived home, she couldn't find Sasuke anywhere. "I hoped to be able to say good bye to him before I leave" she thought with a heavy heart. She had hoped to say goodbye to Neji as well but, she was still hurting from his rejection.

Perhaps it was better that he had his back turned to her that night, otherwise she would have broken down at the sight of the disgust and fear that would have for sure been in his eyes, he was probably regretting all their time spent together.

As for Sasuke? Well the betrayed look on his face said it all. She broke his heart. Maybe she really is the monster the village deemed her as. "No you're not, kit" Kurama said softly. "You're not responsible for their decisions and emotions. You kept a secret from Sasuke because you thought it was for his best interest, but you weren't going to keep the fact that Itachi is also your mate, a secret forever weren't you?"

"Yes, I was planning to tell him when the time was right" she responded sadly. "But what about Neji? I like him so much, and now he hates me"

"You must REALLY like this Hyuga to be so hurt, that the icy, stone hearted girl you built of yourself has disappeared...well maybe not completely disappeared, just softened" Kurama chuckled

"I suppose I do"

"He'll come around. In due time, I wouldn't have approved of him if I didn't smelled he was good for you"

Naruko finished packing her clothes and some pictures of her friends, mostly of hers and Sasuke. She gave her room one last glance, before leaving.

She took her time walking to the gates, during which she encountered some of her friends. Shikamaru, Choji, Tenten, Hinata, Lee, Kiba, Shino, Ino, but no Sasuke Neji. Her heart sank. She said good bye to her friends but will she not be able to bid good bye to her mates? "Speaking of mates, where's Kakashi? Isn't he going to say goodbye to me? I'll be gone for a long time"

To her surprise, and relief, when she made it to the gates, Jiraiya wasn't the only one waiting for her. There stood Itachi and Kakashi, holding an assortment of flowers, and Sasuke and....Neji

"Sasuke! Neji!" She ran to them and jumped, hugging both boys. "I-I- thought you were both mad at me, I thought you didn't want to see me off" Naruko admits.

"I was mad, yes. But not at you, I was mad at the fact that I was lied to for years AND that I have to share you with my own brother of all people. Hell I would have preferred it if it was Neji instead of Itachi!" Sasuke said with a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry I made you think I was angry at you, I should have cleared it up"

"Well, to be fair. I'm also at fault, I shouldn't have kept such a big secret from you, especially when it involved your family. Your entire clan" Naruko smiled softly, before kissing the corner of his lip.

She then turned to Neji. Her smile dropped and she suddenly felt awkward. "Uhh, hi Neji" she said avoiding his intense gaze. Neji sighed and placed a finger under her chin, tilting her head to look at him. "I'm sorry for how I reacted that night, it was terrible of me, to just run away without a word and leave you there"

Sasuke snorted. Neji glared at him. The other boy shrugged and looked the other way. "It's fine, your reaction was expected" Naruko said with a sad smile.

"No! Naruko, I shouldn't have just run away from you, because I wasn't afraid about what you revealed to me or even remotely disgusted by you! In fact I don't care about you being the Kyuub's jailer! You're protecting Konoha and the villagers don't even know it, you're beautiful inside and out Naruko Uzumaki, that's why I-" Neji caught himself, he blushed and swallowed nervously. "I like you, so very much"
