Aadhya's POV:
A week passed by in blur. We spent every day in each other, with each other. The days I dreaded the most were coming near and I was feeling lost.
Ridhima Ahuja had planned a destination wedding for her precious son's wedding. But she made a huge mistake of inviting me to each and every function of their wedding. The theme of the wedding was royal. She chose Udaipur as the wedding destination.
Adhiraj took 2 days off, for his wedding.
Flashback..........
"Promise me." He said, when he came to ask for leave.
"What?" I said still looking at the hotels he sent me. He wanted me to stay in different hotel then the other guests. And he was showing me the hotel reviews. So that I can decide in which one I wanted to stay.
"You will come with me to the wedding. After I settle you in your hotel room. I will leave to meet my mother." He said holding my hand. I looked at him.
"You want me to join you when you are traveling to get married to someone else?" I teased.
"I won't tell you to come back with me. But let's go there together." He said kissing my forehead. "Please."
"Okay." I said and smiled at him. He handed me my plane tickets.
"I have booked our flight. Meet you at the airport." He said and left. I looked shocked at his retrieving figure. He knew I would agree. Still he acted as if I was the one he wanted to take approval from.
My eyes fell on the ticket he left behind. I took a deep breath to control the tears that had gathered in my eyes.
Flashback over......
Currently we were sitting beside each other in the car. We travelled in business class to Udaipur. It was an early morning flight. We were supposed to reach our destination at 11 am. I checked the watch.
"It will take an hour for us to reach." Adhiraj said and pulled my head towards his shoulder. "Take a small nap by then."
"Why did you have to book an early morning flight?" I whined. Again.
"Aadhya. 8 am is not an early morning flight." He said calmly and kissed me on my forehead. Again. I smiled at that. I was whining about it, since we met at the airport. And every time Adhiraj replied with the same tone and a kiss on my forehead. "Now take a nap. So that you won't look tired at the functions." I rested my head on his shoulder and let sleep consume me.
_________________I woke up, when I heard the bell in my room ring. Bell? Room? I opened my eyes to see I was laying in the bed of the hotel room. I got up and opened the door to see Adhiraj with a plate of food in his hand.
"Wake up. My sleeping beauty." He greeted and kissed my forehead. It is already 12 in the noon. I got some lunch for you. Let me feed you then we can get ready." He said, while he kept the plate on the center table and walked towards the bathroom. I followed him inside.
"What are you doing?" I asked, confused.
"Filling the bathtub for you to have a bath. I know you didn't bathe before leaving." He said dragging me out of the bathroom. "Let me show you the view from your room." He said and pulled me towards the balcony.
"From here you can see my room." He said point towards the room that was opposite mine but in a different building.
"Isn't that...."
"Yes. It's the resort where all the functions are going to take place. From your window you can see when the guests have started arriving. As you see on the right is a lawn where all the functions are supposed to take place except for the wedding. The Wedding will take place in the banquet hall which is there beside the lawn" He said, showing me the areas where the functions were going to take place. He walked me back in the room. "Now I want you to sit on the sofa." He made me sit and took the plate of food from the centre table. He tore a piece of roti from the plate and dipped it in the curry. Then he brought it near my mouth, signalling me to eat. I was looking at him mesmerized. Only the last two days were left for us to stay like this. The thought made my heart clench with pain.
