"What's that smell?" Asked the guard to his partner.
"It smells like one of those walagin fruit vaporizers." They answered.
"Excuse me boys." Admiral Velmack said quickly while brushing past them.
"Um wait sir this is authorized personnel only."
" I have urgent news to bring, sorry." Velmack said, passing them.
Admiral Velmack briskly entered the garden. Just as some of the attendees were about to protest, Prime Minister Kanata spoke.
"I assume this is important enough to interrupt this meeting Admiral?"
"Yes. I bring news on the rumored flying beast trio and where they come from."
Some of the ministers gasped. This would be the first real information on the worryingly powerful creatures that have been spotted around Maihark.
"The navy has just received news of a new country called the Viridian Empire, that hails from the Eastern Sea, has sent a delegation to establish diplomatic ties with us. We believe that they are the owners of the flying beasts incursion yesterday. We know this because Captain Vankan was on patrol around Maihark when he encountered the delegation. When he first spotted them he believed that the delegation was under attack on account of spotting four blue and white sea serpents surrounding the delegation's boats. This led him to attempt to aid them by ordering his patrol to fire on the serpents. In actuality though the delegation was completely fine and thought that the patrol was attacking them. However once the misunderstanding was cleared up when he boarded their vessel he also learned that the sea serpents were under the command of the delegation and they were using them as guards. During that conversation the top Viridian diplomat mentioned and explained what a pokemon was and that the sea serpents, what we now know are called Gyarados, were also pokemon." Velmack handed out the description of what pokemon are and what the ships look like to everyone present and continued."Based on this description we can confidently say that the 'Flying beast trio" are pokemon from the Viridian Empire."
The officials in the room absorbed the information and thought. This was a massive discovery and development. The idea that a county could not only tame but weaponize these fantastical 'pokemon' is terrifying.The description of the delegation ships were also ridiculous. Massive gray warships made of metals that are reportedly very fast. With no sails or other visible forms of propulsion either. If the information is true this new empire is truly powerful. Maybe even on par with the likes of Parapaldia.
"This information is too much. This can't possibly be true for a newly formed or far out nation." countered Foreign Minister Matara. " It would take a rather large and powerful nation to accomplish these claims but no one has ever found land in the Eastern Sea. And even if there was land missed that had civilization, at most it would be a small to medium archipelago that could never create those ships."
Minister Mataras words hung in the air. Under normal circumstances he would be one hundred percent right. But this was an extraordinary situation.
"Thank you Minister Matara under usual conditions that would ring true. However the explanation is very simple but even more unbelievable." Velmack explained, pausing for effect. "The Viridians claim they are a transferred nation. Now I know it sounds crazy but what other explanation could there be for the pokemon and their hyper advanced technology."
"I must say it is a compelling argument." admitted Kanata. "However the only way at this point to find out more is to meet with them. Prepare to receive them and notify the palace."
