Darius entered the massive mosque with a respectful amount of amazement. The mosque was as tall as a small skyscraper and had what seemed like a majority of the capitol's wealth invested in it. Just as the researchers said this looks like it'll be a headache he thought while entering the Pope's chamber.

"Hello your Holiness, I am ambassador Darius Mace of the Viridian Empire." Darius greeted.

"Welcome to Gahara and Kikatome Grand Mosque Mr. Mace, I am Rabbi Minakanushi XVl." Minakanushi greeted back with indifference. "Please follow me to talk in private."

They then filed into a side room with a table and two couches. It seemed to be where the Rabbi did most of his important talks. Other than some gold gilded decoration pieces the room was a bare ivory white.

"Thank you for having us, Gahara is a beautiful country and the mosque is very impressive." Darius knew they needed pleasantries but Minakanushi just had this air of superiority about him that annoyed him to no end.

"Yes, as it should. Anyway I understand that your empire wishes to have diplomatic relations with Gahara?"

"Yes, we would like to start opening up to the continent and think that your country would be a great partner."

"You would seek to befriend us even knowing you are heretics?" Asked Minakanushi. He glared at Darius as if a grave offense was made.

"What do you mean heretics?" Darius's headache was already setting in.

"You have an unequal relationship with your pokemon."

"That is absurd, we treat them perfectly well! I don't appreciate your unreasonable accusations!" Now Darius was mad. Who was this old alien man to tell him what his relationship with his pokemon was like?

"As the mouthpiece of God I can not allow friendly relations with a country that exploits sacred creatures." The Rabbi was gradually building in intensity.

"Pokemon and people in our country are partners. It is similar to your Wind Dragon riders. And just like you we have laws in place to punish anyone who would."

"Do not compare us! Our dragon riders can actually telepathically speak to their Wind Dragons. I haven't heard of anything similar from you. So how can you be sure of what the Pokemon feel? At least Parapaldia's Land dragons are dumb creatures. Your pokemon seem to be somewhere in between."

"Just because we can't directly speak to our pokemon doesn't mean we can't understand them. It takes time and effort to develop a relationship to understand them but it is possible for all trainers to understand their pokemon to a degree." This old fool is just making assumptions and excess to be angry with us. Also where is he even getting this information from. It's like he strung together some incomplete reports from Rodenius and called it good, Darius noted.

"Did they ask to be trapped? Be forced to fight? You people basically kidnap them and have slave fights!" Rabbi Minakanushi was shouting now while slowly sitting up.

"The Viridian Empire will not take such an insult to its culture!" Darius yelled. "No, you know what we're done here." With that Darius stood up to leave.

"I don't think you're going anywhere." Said Rabbi Minakanushi. Two crusaders stepped to block the doors.

"What is this? Are you holding me hostage!"

"A slaver isn't really a person and therefore cannot be held hostage. It's a simple detainment of animals." The two crusaders behind the Rabbi started to move in as well.
