The terrorizing rain of shells pounded the helpless city. The high powered cannons of the Gra Valkans prized battleship, the Grade Atlaster, unleashed power never before seen in this part of Elysia mercilessly on the Leforian capital city. The citizens running and hiding for dear life as their homes and livelihoods crumbled and exploded around them. The city guards were unable to even carry out basic emergency operations due to the heavy shelling. Total chaos ruled, not only the streets of Leforia but also the entire country as the Gra Valka's armies swept across the country decimating the Leforian military. With the entire royal family dead they couldn't even declare their surrender if they wanted to.
"Superpower my ass, Leifor was barely a pushover. One army, like 50 planes and the Grade Atlaster was all it took for them to fold. Even the Jasdish would have been able to defend against this." Commented one of the helmsmen.
"This just goes to show how superior we Gra Valkans are compared to the primitives of this world. The Emperor's dream world domination will be even easier in this world." Captain Luxtal replied.
The devastation lasted for hours. By noon the next day, the entirety of Leifor would fall to the Gra Valkas Empire. In the end the capital, Leiforia, would be effectively leveled. Out of its half a million residents only around 320,000 would survive the shelling from the Grade Atlaster. After the infantry rolled in and defeated the rest of the city and royal guards who were trying to protect and evacuate people only 231,000 managed to survive and only around half got to escape. The unlucky or stubborn 110,000 people who were left bunked down in their homes as they watched alien metal land dragons flood into their beloved city.
Across the county the last flickers of resistance were quickly and easily snuffed out. The sheer technological gap was simply too great for the Leiforians to overcome. The entire navy of Leifor was dispatched by the Grade Atlaster. A mere 50 Antares fighters took out their nearly 200 strong wyvern corps. Their army staring death and defeat in its eyes as a seemingly invincible Wilder heavy tank barreling towards them. As their tines were torn to shreds by long range artillery all they could do was flee, leaving behind the people they so badly wanted to protect to the jaws of the brutal invaders.
"And to think they started all this because of our rightful invasion of Paganda." Said one gunner to another.
"I know right, they acted like the death of one of our members of royalty was trivial and somehow our fault." His friend responded.
"Paganda was truly pitiful though, I mean one day, really. For as much confidence they had I was expecting at least a week."
While Leifor was invaded for trying to protect Paganda, Paganda was completely destroyed. Their crime of killing the Emperor's cousin was rewarded with a 2 day long genocide of anyone and everyone one the Gra Valkas soldiers could find. The survivors are now just slaves of the Gra Valkans that maintain their naval base they established.
"Well yeah but I mean Look at Leifor. It was supposed to be the 5th strongest nation in the world and we completely crushed them in 4 days time. The Emperor was right, we really are invincible in this new world."
After the war Leifor was completely ravaged. All its major cities destroyed or looted and its government all but eviscerated. Now it was nothing more than another new colony for the Gra Valkans. It didn't even have the status of first like Paganda did. Soon after this Hinomawari and Irnetia Kingdom would also surrender, this time without a fight, concluding the Gra Valkas opening conquest.

Upon the floor in front of Dragon King Wagdran's throne, court mages were finishing the magic circle for the Divination Ceremony to peer into the future. Due to what it allows, the Divination Ceremony is the most sacred ritual in all of Emor and it is practically law to follow what is revealed now matter how bad or good, hard or easy.
