Fortress Town of Gim
"There lies the walls of Gim men. Form up into formation D and advance!" General Adem ordered.
"Archers ready for the first wave." Pandour ordered.
The battle for Gim then ensued. The Lourians charged the walls with a wave of arrows following them. Since they left the camp abruptly they didn't have all the siege weapons with them. Nonetheless they still made decent progress, showcasing the difference in power.
"Members of the wall, fire!" Lord Moji commanded. The Qua-Toynians then released their arrows. The Viridian soldiers however brought up their black devices. They then started making loud banging sounds and Lourian soldiers started dropping. The Qua-Toynains and Lord Moji looked on in shock.
"What sort of magic magic is that!" Moji asked.
"It's not magic sir, it's technology. It's called a gun and I assure you it's fully mechanical." A Viridian soldier responded.
This bewildered Moji but then again it lined up with the rumors of Viridia having very advanced magical and mechanical technology. Regardless of the shocking revelation Moji had a battle to command and the guns were currently his most effective weapon under his command.
"All Viridian soldiers, target the enemy archeres." He ordered. The soldiers carried out the orders immediately and made quick work of the lines of Lourian archers.
"What kind of magic are they using!" Pandour shouted.
"I don't know sir but it appears to be coming from the black sticks the Qua-Toynian allies are using. They slightly resemble the guns from Parapaldia but have a much higher fire rate." A scout yelled back.
In a flash nearly all of the lourian archers were dead or cowing behind trees. Adem and Pandour had to take cover as well when officers started to lose their heads around them. Soon the Lourian army was split into three groups. General Adems part on the left of the road on the edge of the forest. General Pandours group on the right of the road in the forest. The last group was the soldiers that made it to the wall but could not scale it or retreat lest they be shot. The Lourian soldiers who attacked the wall without the rest of the army were quickly killed and the focus shifted back to the Lourians in the forest. Both of the generals were considering what when Admin Vons forces attacked. Suddenly bullets and pokemon moves were slamming into the split army causing mass panic barely kept in check by the Lourian officers.
Adem himself started to panic at the thought of death. "I can't... I can't die here, retreat!"
His forces started to run back onto the road back to the camp.
"They're in retreat, fire the artillery!" Moji ordered. The massive guns brought by the Viridians boomed and fired their shells. The site where the explosions landed was so far from the fort, where they were fired from, it amazed Moji and his men.
"Those Viridians really are something." Dinkaz commented. He and Moji just stared at the ridiculously long line of explosions that was blocking the Lourians escape.
"That they are Dinkaz, that they are." Lord Moji agreed.
The Lourians were terrified of the explosions blocking their escape. By then General Pandour's half of the army had been pushed out of the forest too. While Adem and Pandour were trying to figure out the next move they were interrupted by even more bad news.
"Generals, the explosions are creeping back towards us, the men are getting caught in it now!" An officer reported. Like him most of the army was scared and panicked. The generals truly had to take direct charge now or risk suffering a complete collapse.
