(Y/N) didn't think her life could get any worse.
Already, (Y/N) was picked on, ignored, and laughed at. Her mother was never home to stop her stepdad from ordering her around. Plus he always had these god awful poker parties where he'd get a bunch of his good for nothing, loser buddies over and drink a bunch of beer and smoke terrible smelling cigars.
But then, surprisingly, it did get worse.
One night after she got off of work, (Y/N) was walking home. It was quiet, for New York. She took a shortcut down a street that wasn't very busy. It was a back way, big enough for only bikes or skateboards. She enjoyed the quiet, it wasn't often that she got to experience it.
Then, these men dressed in black ninja-like suits came out of the shadows and attacked her.
(Y/N) screamed, hoping that someone would hear her and come to save her. The ninja-men went after her, and tried to grab her. Eventually, that got ahold of her arm and started dragging her away. She tried to struggle, but it was pointless. She was too frail to fight.
She was saved though, but she ran - stupidly ran - into an alley and plopped down and whimpered in the corner.
As if things couldn't get even worse, she soon came face to face with a giant green man.
Many thoughts raced through her mind as she eyed him up and down. Why is he green? Why does he have a shell? Is he some kind of turtle?!
Then his weapon caught her eye and she did what any sane person would do when seeing a man-turtle with a weapon.
She screamed.
"No, no, no! We're nice! We're here to help you." The man-turtle reached out to lightly touch her arm.
(Y/N) screamed yet again and backed away.
"Great. Nice going, Donnie, you scared her."
"Do you want to try and talk to her, Raph?"
No response came.
"Thought so." Turtle Man turned back to the girl cowering in fear. "It's okay. We'll protect you. You need to come with us."
She mustered up all her courage and tried to sound defiant. "No." She ended up sounding more like a little girl having a nightmare.
"Trust me."
"I...no." (Y/N) pulled her knees to her chest and hid her face.
This should all be over soon. This isn't real.
"Just grab her, Donnie!" Said another voice.
She looked at Donnie with panic evident in her eyes.
"Listen, I don't want to take you with us against your will, but I will if I have to. You're in danger. I need you to trust me. We want to help." He held out his hand and smiled warmly
Reluctantly, (Y/N) reached out and grabbed Donnie's hand. He gave her a quick smile before he turned back to his friends.
Three more Turtle People stood there. (Y/N) wanted to run away, but she only hid behind Donnie. She was scared of all of them, but so far, Donnie was the least scariest one she knew.
And the only one she knew.
"Let's go, guys." Said the one with the blue mask.
All of them nodded, and the turtles began going further back into the alley. The one wearing the blue bandana slid off the sewer cover and jumped down.
(Y/N) was confused. Why were they going down there?
(Y/N) pulled on Donnie's arm before he jumped down. She didn't want to go down there. Who knows what waits in the depths of the New York sewer system?
