"She just left?" Raph questioned, staring down at the Tphone.

"Yeah." Answered April. "She got up and walked out. She looked like she was gonna cry."

"Do you know where she went?" He asked.

"No. We looked for her, but we couldn't find her."

Raph looked up at his brothers. They all looked as worried as he felt. What if the Foot got ahold of her? He'd never live it down. He'd never forgive himself.

"She probably went home." Said Donnie hopefully.

"Let's go see." Raph stood.

"Wait." Leo said. "We can't just go. It's the middle of the day."

Raph shook his head in disbelief. "But we have to check on her."

"I can go." April said from the other end of the phone.

Raphael nearly forgot they called her. He liked the idea of (Y/N) being looked after, but he'd feel much better if he were the one checking up on her, not April and Casey.

"I can do it." Raph said.

"Yeah, don't worry about it." Mikey said coolly. He seemed to have composed himself from his worry. "Stay at school. Learn, have fun. We can totally handle it."

Leo sighed. "Master Splinter told u—"

"It doesn't matter." Raph said.

Everyone turned to face him, clearly shocked.

"Look, she could be in trouble. Do you really care more about our small chances of being seen over her?"

Leo thought about it for a second, then sighed. "Fine. You're right. We'll call you later, April. We're gonna go check on (Y/N)."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Raphael hung up the phone and started toward the exit.

"What're you waiting for, we don't have all day."

^~^

Raph landed on the balcony after Mikey. When everyone was there, they quietly knocked, only loud enough to hear if someone was in the room. A few seconds passed, and the door slid open.

Standing there was (Y/N), her eyes red from crying. Everyone seemed a little taken back by how upset she looked, and only Leo found the courage to approach her.

"Why... What happened?" He asked slowly.

(Y/N) was quiet, then she looked at Raph. She pushed past his brother and went towards him. As soon as she reached him, she gave him a hug.

Raph wasn't quite sure what to do. He looked at his brothers awkwardly. Donnie and Leo exchanged glances and Mikey was watching with wide eyes.

"A-are you okay?" He finally asked.

"I messed it up." She said, pulling away.

She walked inside her room and sat on the bed. "I didn't mean to. I really didn't, I promise. I'm so sorry."

"Don't be sorry." Donnie said softly, sitting next to her. "What happened?"

(Y/N) sniffed, her eyes on the floor. "I don't know. I don't want to  talk."

"You don't have to." Said Raph.

"Yeah, we completely understand." Assured Mikey. He turned to Leo. "What do we understand?" He whispered.

"Maybe I can just... Just keep to myself?" (Y/N) asked shyly. "If that's okay."

"But what if the Foot attacks you?"

"(Y/N), they won't hesitate to strike, even if you're at school." Leo explained. "I know it probably isn't that fun to be followed around all the time, but we're trying to help."

"I know." She sounded like she was about to cry again. "I just... Never mind. I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize." Donnie said. "It's okay."

Mikey shifted his weight. "So, wanna come back with us?"

"No, I'm okay. I'd better stay."

"We'll see you tomorrow." Raphael said.

"Try to give April another chance, okay? She's a really nice girl. Casey's nice, too." Donnie added the last part rather reluctantly.

(Y/N) nodded and gave a small smile.

Just when Raph was about to leave, (Y/N) spoke up.

"Raphael, I—"

"Raph." He said.

"What?"

"You can call me Raph." He coughed. "If you want."

"Oh. Okay." Her smile grew a little bigger.

"Yeah. What is it you were gonna say?"

"Just that... Just that I'm sorry for hugging you like that."

"Don't worry about it." He smiled slightly. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Raph." She said softly.

He turned around and left before she could see the blush creeping up on his cheeks. He sighed to himself as he hurried to catch up with his brothers.

What was he doing?
