Like before, Raph had to bring the girl home.
Apparently, it was too dangerous for all four of them to go up during the day. It wasn't like they hadn't done it before, but Sensei said.
All of his brothers had offered to take her home, but Raphael was the one who did it. He didn't trust Mikey, Donnie would probably make things awkward, and Leo wouldn't shut up about Space Heroes. (Y/N) would get bored.
He had gotten her safely home and she walked inside without waiting to watch the sun rise. Raph hesitated a moment, but then turned to leave.
When he was a rooftop away, he heard a loud scream. He stopped and ran back to (Y/N)'s apartment building. He saw that the door to her terrace was open still, so he jumped down on it and peeked inside her room.
The place was trashed. Her mattress was thrown off of her bed and her blankets were thrown all over the place. A chair was overturned and papers were scattered everywhere. He didn't bother to look around anymore; he was starting to panic.
If something happened to (Y/N), his brothers would be so mad at him, and he'd be mad at himself. He couldn't let something happen to someone like her.
Raphael didn't hesitate to step inside the messy room. (Y/N)'s bedroom door was open slightly. He pulled it back and walked into the hallway. Once he reached the living room, he saw that it was just like her room. One of the windows were even broken.
"(Y/N)?" He called.
He heard footsteps coming from the other room and realized that he probably hadn't made the best decision. What if her dad was home?
He ducked behind the corner and quietly watched to see who was coming into the living room. When he saw a pair of (f/c) converse, he came out from where he was.
"(Y/N)!" He said, calming down immensely. "What happened? Are you..."
He stopped when he realized she was crying. Whatever it was, it must've really shaken her up.
"I-I just came home and... And it looked like this. Then I something and I thought it was Gabe." She wiped at her eyes. "But it wasn't Gabe and it tried to grab me and..." (Y/N) looked up at Raph. "I'm sorry."
He frowned. "What for?"
"You came back when you heard me scream."
"Well, yeah, but, you needed help, didn't you?"
"It left after I screamed. I think it saw you, or something. I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry. You could've gotten hurt." Raph put his sai in its holster. "Is your dad home?"
(Y/N) shook her head. "I think he's at work."
"Well, you can't stay here alone. Do you have anywh-"
"Can I go with you?" She suddenly asked.
Raph was shocked by her outburst.
"Um..." She was quieter. "If that's okay."
"Yeah, sure. Just, go get some stuff you might need. I'm gonna look around a little, try to figure out who was here."
(Y/N) nodded and walked towards her room.
Raph walked into the kitchen and took in the mess. It was in the same state as all the other rooms he'd seen. He found a piece of paper on a place that was perfectly clear on the counter. It was wrinkle free, just sitting there like it was meant to be found.
He picked it up and read it.
'We will get your daughter.'
Raph growled and crumpled up the paper, angrily throwing it in the trash. As long as he was around, no one was going to lay a finger on (Y/N). He and his brothers would protect her.
"Raphael?"
He turned to see (Y/N) standing there with her book bag, trying to look past him at the trash can.
"What was that?"
"That? Nothing. Just a thing."
"Oh..." She still looked curious, but didn't press for more. "We can leave when you're ready."
"Okay." He walked past her. "Let's go."
