Amie

I wake up to perfection.

I slowly opened my eyes, morning light filtering through the curtains. My gaze fell upon Mahir, sleeping peacefully beside me.

My heart swelled. It's been 2 years since our marriage and I'm so happy with him.

His handsome face, relaxed in slumber, took my breath away.

His dark eyelashes fluttered slightly, as if dreaming of something beautiful. A gentle smile played on his lips.

I couldn't help but smile too.

Mahir's chest rose and fell with each steady breath. I admired the strong lines of his neck and the curve of his shoulders. My fingertips itched to trace the contours of his face.

But I didn't want to disturb him.

Instead, I drank in the sight of my sleeping husband. His presence filled my heart with warmth.

In this quiet moment, everything felt right.

Mahir's hand rested on my waist, even in sleep. A gentle possessiveness.

A reminder of his love. I leaned in, my lips brushing against his forehead.

"Good morning, handsome," I whispered.

Mahir stirred, his eyes fluttering open. Our gazes met.

"Good morning, baby" he whispered back.

His voice, laced with sleep and affection. My heart skipped a beat.

"What were you dreaming about?" I asked curious.

"I saw a girl" he smiled.

A girl!? And he was smiling because of her.

"Girl? Who?" I was already ready to beat him up. My mind raced.

"She was just like you.

"Like me?"

Mahir nodded "Tiny version." His eyes crinkled.

"Our daughter, Amie."

My face flushed. Our daughter? The thought sent butterflies through my stomach.

Mahir's hands cradled my face. "You'd make an amazing mother," he whispered. I blushed deeper.

"Mahir...His lips silenced me.

"I dreamt of our future, Amie." Our future. Together. With a tiny version of me. My heart swelled.

"Tell me more," I whispered.

Mahir's eyes sparkled. "She had your smile." He traced my lips.

"Your laughter."

His fingers danced through my hair. "Your nose."
