A new soul

I was lying on my own bed, bathing in my own sweat and feeling as if I was going to explode into a million air particles.

My whole body ached and fear fogged my brain. I was absolutely petrified as I layed there, helpless. No one in this apartment knew how to properly deliver a baby, not even Erika and trust me, she knows a lot. Everyone was surrounding me, their faces pale as they noticed how much pain I was experiencing.

" okay wait, how do we do this?"

Tom anxiously asked as he exchanged looks with his friends.

" how the fuck should we know?!"

Georg angrily yelled, panic audible in his hoarse voice.

Everyone was panicking which caused my fear to grow even bigger.

I kept my eyes on the ceiling, desperately trying to escape this horrible situation.

The fact no one here knew how to safely deliver me my baby wasn't exactly helping.

" okay wait, I've seen this tv show where they delivered a baby once."

Cho chuckled as if this was the most normal situation ever.

" wait really?"

Masao laughed.

" stop fucking laughing!"

I screamed in pain.

I started to feel lightheaded which worried me insanely.

" people, just calm down and try your hardest."

Erika sighed.

She turned to me, her eyes filled with hope as she shot me a half hearted smile. I squeezed her hand in pain whilst biting my underlip. I closed my eyes, imagining myself in another situation right now.

I wanted to be anywhere but here.

" you can do it."

We're the last words I heard before drifting off in my own sea of thoughts.

All the sounds that were echoeing trough my ears just stopped and I felt at peace. Just knowing that I practically had a portal to allow another soul to experience life made it better. I inhaled deeply, trying to keep myself under control but I felt as if I was about to burst. I screamed in agony, pain overtaking me.

•Erika's POV•

I could feel my heart shatter as I stared at Laure. Seeing my best friend in so much pain made my stomach squirm.

" are you sure you want us all to be here?"

I asked, still holding her soft hand.

" no! I don't want any of these idiots to see my fucking baby squirm itself out of me!"

She yelled in pain.

" okay everyone go away."

I ordered.

" what? No."

Tom snarled as he glared into my eyes.

" who can stay?"

I asked as I looked back down at Laure.

She wasn't even able to answer anymore due to the massive pain so I just sent everyone away but Tom since he insisted on staying.

" you can do it Laurie, trust me on this one."

I said, my voice trembling with fear as I watched her push.
