•Laure's POV•

Tom had completely disappeared from my vision and I started to get concerned by his absence. Earlier we were both having a pretty heated conversation with eachother at the bar and he just stormed off together with Chiyo who had joined the argument mid way.

I was all alone dancing with the last people around in the mansion.

I noticed some commotion going on in the corner of the room but didn't bother to check.

Calina and Margot were both dancing together but I assumed they would go home soon since they were both drunk and tired from the long night we had. It was around 3:30 am and the dancefloor had nearly emptied.

Suddenly I heard a loud bang coming from the corner and I flinched at the sound. I glanced over at the scene but couldn't see much due to the reflecting discolights and dark clothing the people were wearing. I ignored it and quickly sauntered to the bar where the bartender was busy wiping dust from some glasses.

" one cocktail please."

I sighed as I sat down on the tall barstool.

The bartender nodded at my request and quickly disappeared to get my drink. There weren't many people around and only a few were still up dancing to the slowing beat.

The man had already returned with a decorated glass in his hand.

" here you go miss."

He smiled at me.

My fingers twirled themselves around the glass and brought it to my lips so I could take a sip. Alcohol entered my system and I exhaled deeply. After a few more minutes someone violently grabbed my arm.

" what?"

I snarled at the sudden movement.

I turned around and Tom was angrily dragging me out of Chiyo's mansion.

" Tom what's going on?"

I anxiously muttered as I noticed the look on his face. He looked pale what ment something terrible had happened.

" we're going home."

He dryly answered as he opened the car door for me.

I sat down in the leather seat and glanced out of the window. My feet were hurting from the amount of dancing I had endured and my head was spinning as the alcohol fogged my mind.

Tom quickly started the engine and we drove away from the house.

Constant rain drops were audible from the roof of the car as we sped trough the night. Toms eyes were filled with fear as he drove. I closed my exhausted eyes and waited for us to arrive back at our own home.

The night had grown cold and the bright lights had extinguished as the hours passed.

Not many people were still up since there wasn't any race planned for tonight.

Tokyo was sleeping and we were driving.

I opened my eyes and to my surprise we had already arrived at our house. Tom had gotten out of his car and quickly strolled over to me. He gently helped me get out of his hellcat and carefully took my hand.

" do you think Chiyo has a thing for you?"

He dared to ask as we walked over the sidewalk towards the house.

" what? No.."

I muttered in shock.

Tom groaned before searching for the house keys in his large pocket. He managed to unlock the door and the warmth of the house wrapped itself around our brittle bodies.
