Jongho's POV

There was a short man, with his hair swept back, holding the microphone with his hand, currently waiting for the broadcasting signal.

"The prince had made no statement so far about the current investigation of the fugitive criminal. I'll hand it over to Tom, who met his highness's guard for clarification of the current events."

The cameraman sent the signal and the interviewer began speaking:

"So, what are the current news we should be worried about?"

The camera paned to my face.

"There is nothing to worry about as we have the situation under control and planning to continue the investigation on the suspect. I am not physically hurt at the contact of the man, but it is still important to make sure that we, the royal family, and the citizens are protected. We also believe that with the help of the witnesses, we can move forward; so to anyone who is able to find him, will be paid a hefty sum of money"

I made the move to end the interview, but the reporter had one more question to ask.

"Will the wedding be proceeding as usual?"

A moment of silence passed.

"If there's nothing else to discuss, I'll be making my way to the guard's station."

Just in a flash, the interview ended. And I was back at the security quarters in the palace.

The news was now covering the happy couples that were getting married, as they had found one another during the ball.

San was currently in my office as he was required for his witness statement as the waiter that assisted the fugitive man.

At my desk there were more documents relating to the investigation, some pages had all the guests that had attended and the one that didn't and the people in charge of the security at the time of the incident. However, none of these documents were as important as the first two that I had been looking at this morning.

Two brothers had attended the ball the day, they were late but able to get involved with the main event : the dance. Once they had their own number and waiters, they listened to the announcer present the prince's first dance.

This is around the same time I came down to check on the event, and as soon as I was able to talk to San, the sudden entrance of the guards caught me off guard.

Everything happens so suddenly, before I couldn't control it. The evidence was missing, so we're the guards and the man they were chasing.

The royal came to see the commotion, which they were able to distract the guest for a short amount of time.

At the corner of my eye, I noticed the two brothers talking to the woman. I didn't think of it as important at the moment, but I was wrong.

The files showed that they were related to the woman, in fact she was their mother. They could be considered accomplices, or they might cooperate easily.

Their address was listed below their details.

San came over from the interrogation room with my subordinate following behind with notes and video and audio recording . E placed them on my desk, and I quickly put them in one of the desk cabinets with the lock.

A small node and the subordinate was gone.

"Am I free to go, sir Jongho? "

"Hyung, are you always going to tease me about my position?"

"I can't help it, you always pout right after. The only time I see you act so cutesy"

"I don't pout", but San's grin told me otherwise.

"There is actually something that will make you pout instead ", I stated, "I'll need you to come with me to meet someone"

I knew that San will pout as he hated any field investigations. He used to work as an assassin, a retired assassin, and had done a lot of travelling in his prior years while working to end some criminals on behalf of the secret assassin's association called "SA. A". Once he became friends with us , he gave up that life, pursuing a regular office job at the palace.

He grumbled but still got his jacket, I showed him the address, as he would be the one driving.

"Do you have a search warrant?"

I nodded, explaining that since the investigation began, the King had given me the Police badge. I passed another badge to him. San raised an eyebrow.

"Your badge. I was allowed to take only one person along with me. As not to add anxiety to citizens"

San gave me a smile, saying that he truly knew that I loved him, and I just waved him off, clearly embarrassed by the attention he was giving me.

We soon arrived at the house.

The brothers must be well off as they had a front yard that was big enough to cultivate some vegetables, in fact I noticed some dried leaves as we got past the gates. There was the main door, but we inspected the house and found a door at the side, hidden by a bush of ivy and flowers.

Going back to the front of the house, we gently knocked on the door before pressing the bell, a common move to get the attention of a resident of the house. It was well-built as not a sound came through the door and suddenly, the door opened revealing a man.

One of the brothers.

The man looked like a prince; in fact, the prince I served did not have the stereotypical look of a prince, but of a rebellious leader. He took advantage off his looks from a young age to assert his dominance in the royal world. However, this man looked as delicate and as pretty as a flower: an orchid.

Sophisticated, elegant yet strong by the way his shirt fell on his shoulder, giving it nice structure. And the tightness of the arm's sleeve around his biceps ...

I cleared my throat from the intense gazing I had been giving the poor man, and quickly hid my embarrassment by pushing San forward to introduce himself.

San looked puzzled but followed through without complaints.

"Good morning, we are the Royal Enforcement Guards and Police Force from the Royal Palace. Are we speaking to Sir Yeosang and Sir Wooyoung? "

The man nodded, before turning around to call his brother. This time, the steps were audible, and a voice was questioning the sudden call to the door, whining about being late for the dance practice.

The door opened wider to reveal a blonde haired man, with eyeliner , wearing a chocker and a shirt made of flowy fabric exposing a bit of his collarbone and chest.

My left ear picked up a gulp.

"Who are these people?", the blonde asked.

"The guards from the royal palace"

This was my cue to step in and explain everything.

" We are the Royal Enforcement Guards and Police Force from the Royal Palace", the two heads snapped back at me, "investigating the fugitive man and the claims of the madame. Wile doing some research, we came across documents relating to witness, and you were both present at the time of the incident, correct?"

They nodded.

"In each of your files, it is stated that you are related to the madame, and she is listed as your mother, is that also correct?"

A chorus of yes, came through.

I grabbed the badge from my pocket , showing them that we were in fact allowed to question them. San followed up right after.

"If you have some time, will you allow us to ask a few questions and investigate the house?"
