Hongjoong's POV

Rushing into the room, the door slammed and, due to the force, it closed behind me .

I frantically got my jacket off, rolling my sleeves up. Patting my jacket, I found the pocket which was holding the two pictures I had acquired from the tree house, and placed them on my desk.

I crouched down to the drawers, the one on the left side of the table. It was locked by key , in which my hand reached for the flat side of the table, where my legs usually went when I tucked my chair in, and started patting to feel the sellotape.

Once my fingertips felt the cold and smooth surface of the sellotape, I tapped it off and took the key sticking to it, opening the drawer.

There were many brown folders, all belonging to the investigation, a few thick and a few slim depending on the type of content. They were all brown due to the palace's protocols for official investigation, but I had memorised what each of them contained.

I grabbed what I needed and placed it on the chair.

There was a step I had forgotten due to the hurriedness I felt: clearing out my desk.

Taking every item, including my laptop, I put them on the small sofa and then spread all the evidence carefully as there were many small documents such as pictures and post-it notes.

I gathered the pictures first. A few of them portrayed the footsteps of the soldiers chasing the criminal, disappearing after exiting from the gates. The iron gate was the next picture. They were unharmed and left open, allowing the man to run away. Another image portrayed the shoe that he had lost, a glass shoe, made out of glass with cushion support, there was a matching report describing its composition.

There were cameras at the ball so all the other pictures were about the man, at different angles as he danced with me. One in particular was a close up of the face of the man. The mad had worn a black mask with beautiful embroidery which wasn't matching with the outfit, instead with his silky styled hair.

It was good to note that most of the important features of his face were visible. I brought the picture of the family closer to it , examining the face of the young boy and the face of the man, noting the similarity, but the mask made it difficult to be sure.

After he looked at another picture that showed a social media post. It must have been the post from an account made years ago, showing two men. The clear image of the man in front of the camera that must have been the owner of the account named "Woo_Boo.". There was a man at the back, but his face was blurred, but not to the extent that I wasn't able to distinguish his facial features.

Concluding that it might be the person.

Look through report about the criminal I gathered the information about the brothers' university and majors, and then I stumbled upon the documents stating the date of remarriage, to which I quickly linked to the picture of the family.

The address at which both brothers resided in also caught my attention. I Googled the address, and the picture of the house looked like an older version of the house in the picture of the family.

I got startled at the sudden entrance of San and Jongho, back from field investigation. They looked at me with a raised eyebrow but didn't question my dishevelled state as they handed me another document.

As soon as it was in my hand , I opened it taking the photos that they had taken , one in particular , marked by San, had the of a man in designer clothes and make up . At the recognition, my eyes grew bigger.

"I think I know the culprit"

Both men looked at me with shock. At then, as if he had known the whole situation, Yunho walked in calmly.

"I'll reveal everything, so please take a seat"
