November 15, 2013 - Waiheke Island, New Zealand
Gazing through the pages of 'The New Zealand Herald' newspaper, Christian couldn't help but be surprised seeing that the media was still reporting on the royal wedding that had taken place a month ago now.
Despite not having seen the newest royal couple since their wedding day, when they left for their honeymoon in Waiheke Island, they continued to write headlines about them and their honeymoon.
Standing at the balcony door of their cabin, Madison couldn't help but admire her husband. Sitting at the balcony table peacefully eating his breakfast while reading the local paper.
"Good morning, handsome." Madison said, entering the balcony, taking a seat across from Christian.
While they had been in New Zealand the weather was amazing, it was currently Summertime in New Zealand, the couple had spent the two weeks out in the sun at the beaches, winery tours and so much more.
"Good morning, sweetheart," Christian replied, putting down the paper, his focus now on his beautiful wife, he knew he would never get tired of calling her that. Madison was now his wife and he wouldn't trade that for the world.
"What time is our flight home?" Madison asked with a hint of sadness, she knew their time in New Zealand had come to an end and now it was time to return to reality and begin their lives as a married couple back home.
"Well, we've got a long day of travelling ahead of us, we need to leave for the ferry at 4PM and head back to Auckland, and then once we're back in Auckland we'll make our way to the airport hopefully we'll arrive at the airport around 5-5:30, then our first flight leaves at 8PM to our layover in New York and then our second flight leaves at 4PM New York time and then we'll travel the rest of the way back to London." Christian explains their busy travel day.
After flying here in economy the couple decided to fly back privately wanting to be comfortable during the flight, the flight was going to be a whole day flight plus a layover in New York.
"Well it's a good thing I packed last night then. It gives me more time to relax today until we need to leave for the ferry." Madison said, taking a bite out of her breakfast, she made sure to double check her luggage before they left the cabin, making sure not to forget her phone charger, her laptop and its charger and her book of choice for the long plane ride.
"Do you think Luna and Aspen missed us?" Madison asked, thinking about her two fur babies, who were being cared for by John and Celeste.
At Madison's childhood home in Newnham, John and Celeste along with Madison's two brothers were taking care of the two dogs. Madison and Christian knew that they had nothing to worry about when it came to their fur babies, her childhood home was surrounded by a big backyard with a lot of yard for the two dogs to run around in.
"I'm pretty sure they are enjoying their time with your parents and brothers, and I know they are enjoying the backyard the most." Christian said, with a smile as he thinks about Luna and Aspen.
Now that the couple were married they were gifted Apartment 1 in Kensington Palace, now that the renovations were almost complete the apartment would become their main residence in London and they would be able to move into their new home soon, while Craigowan Lodge was their country home, located in Scotland on the grounds of Balmoral Castle.
Madison would undoubtedly insist on returning again every year if they had the opportunity to, as they gazed out over the stunning view that surrounded their cabin.
This was Madison's first time in New Zealand and it was safe to say it wouldn't be her last, whether it was for a royal tour or for a family holiday.
But for Christian this wasn't his first time here, he had first been to New Zealand in 1983 with his parents and twin brother for their official visit to Australia and New Zealand. He had also come back for his first official tour with his older brother back in 2005.
The couple made so many amazing memories on their honeymoon, when they eventually start trying to have children, they could make it an annual vacation destination for themselves and their future family.
Although Madison knew where they stood when it came to talking about children, she was unaware of when they would actually start their family. But for now, they just wanted to enjoy their marriage.
If Madison and Christian were destined to have children, that was something that would happen when the time was right. However, there was no way to tell what the future would hold.
The media and fans of the royal couple had already begun to make assumptions about when they would start trying to grow their family, whether they would have children of their own and what their future children would look like.
They discussed whose parent they would resemble and that had been in the run-up to the wedding. There were even AI photos circulating the internet to anticipate the appearance of their future children, whether they would have the Nolan gene or the Windsor gene.
The couple could care less about who their children looked more like whether it was the Nolan gene or the Windsor gene they couldn't care, all they cared about is that their children were happy and healthy. Madison wanted their children to have similar memories she had growing up.
"What are you thinking about?" Christian asked, noticing that she was daydreaming while staring out into the view of their cabin, he also secretly swiped some of her food, noticing that she wouldn't notice.
A sudden smile appeared on her face, "Our future children".
They always discussed children during their relationship, even before they were married it was necessary that they did if they wanted their relationship and now marriage to thrive. Solid communication is the key to a successful and happy relationship.
Christian smiled, moving forward and resting his arms on the table as he smiled at her. He loved talking about their future together and nothing else made him happy than thinking about their future, knowing that it will become a reality one day.
"What do you think our first baby will be?" Christian asked, indicating that as long as they had each other, he didn't care how their future turned out.
"A little boy, he will definitely look exactly like his handsome father," Madison said confidently, picturing their future son, he would be an exact copy and paste of his father, but a perfect mix of their parents when it came to his personality.
"I think it'll be a little girl." Christian said he had always wanted a little girl and he could picture her looking exactly like her mother.
They were positive that any child they had would be amazing regardless of how they looked; they would be content with any child they had.
Being a member of such a historic family made it interesting to imagine what their future children may look like, who they would become as adults, and what kinds of life they might have.
Madison smiled as she leaned forward to take his hands in her own. "As long as they're healthy that's all that matters," she said. She enjoyed being cut off from the world for the past two weeks, just spending time with her husband before they had to jump back into reality.
"Have you begun to pack yet?" Last night Madison had packed her own suitcase knowing that she wouldn't want to spend their last day doing it, she noticed several things belonging to Christian scattered across the bedroom.
Having had tons of time to do so before they had to go for their flight, Albert shrugged his shoulders and chuckled. He wanted to spend the morning with his amazing wife before he had to reveal her to the world once she began her royal duties.
They would become more than just Christian and Madison when they got back to London from New Zealand; they would become the Their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Albany.
"All right, well, don't come to me if you lose anything," humorously said Elena as she stood up to return her plate to the kitchen sink and began tidying.
