Nova's pov
As I walked past the hallway on my way to the lounge, I was completely distracted, my mind wandering to a thousand different things. I hadn't expected to see Alexander in the kitchen area, focused intently on making his coffee. The sight of him, immersed in his routine, was almost oddly comforting.
I glanced around to make sure no colleagues were nearby, then decided to seize the opportunity. Silently, I approached him from behind. With a mischievous smile, I wrapped my arms around his waist, letting my hands rest lightly on his hips. The warmth of his body against mine felt oddly reassuring, and I savored the closeness.
I heard a soft chuckle escape him, his body tensing slightly at the unexpected contact. He continued to make his coffee, seemingly unperturbed by my sudden, intimate gesture. His calm reaction only heightened the thrill of the moment.
"Good morning, Alexander," I murmured playfully, pressing my cheek against his back. "You make your coffee so seriously. I thought you could use a little distraction."
His chuckle grew into a low, amused laugh. "And here I thought you'd be all business today," he said, his voice tinged with amusement. "You never fail to surprise me, Nova."
I tightened my embrace just a bit, enjoying the feeling of him against me. "Sometimes a little surprise is exactly what's needed," I said, my voice soft. "Besides, who can resist a chance to steal a moment away from work?"
He finally turned around, his expression a mixture of surprise and amusement. His eyes met mine, and for a moment, the world outside our little bubble seemed to disappear. There was something undeniably intimate about this moment, the mundane task of making coffee transforming into something far more personal and intriguing.
"Well, if you're going to make yourself comfortable," he said with a smirk, "you might as well help me with this. Coffee is always better with company."
I grinned, feeling a warm glow spread through me. "Consider it done," I said, letting go of him just long enough to help him with the coffee. Our playful banter continued as we worked together, the tension and flirtation between us making even the simplest tasks feel charged with something more.
As I prepared my coffee, I made sure to take my time, savoring each step of the process. I wanted this moment to linger, to stretch out just a bit longer. The way Alexander's eyes followed my every move was enough to keep my heart racing.
Once my coffee was ready, I took a slow, deliberate sip. I made sure to savor the flavor, letting the warmth of the drink seep through me. With a deliberately slow motion, I set the cup down on the counter, then leaned back against it, my eyes never leaving Alexander's.
I caught his gaze as I took another sip, my lips wrapping around the rim of the cup seductively. The steam from the coffee mingled with the warmth between us, creating an almost tangible connection. I could see his expression change, a flicker of something darker and more intense crossing his features as he watched me.
"You know," I said softly, breaking the silence and leaning closer to him, "I think you should take more breaks. You work too hard."
He raised an eyebrow, his gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made my pulse quicken. "Is that so?" he replied, his voice low and smooth. "And what do you suggest I do during these breaks?"
I tilted my head slightly, letting a teasing smile play on my lips. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe spend a little more time enjoying the company of a certain someone?" I suggested, taking another slow sip of my coffee and watching him.
His eyes darkened with a mixture of amusement and desire. "And what if I like the sound of that?" he asked, stepping a little closer.
I felt a thrill at his words, the electricity in the air between us almost palpable. "Well, in that case," I said, setting my coffee cup down and leaning in even closer, "I guess we'd better make the most of this moment."
The space between us shrank, and I could feel his breath against my skin, making my heart race. I reached up and gently touched his arm, letting my fingers linger there for a moment. The intimate contact only deepened the connection I felt with him.
Alexander's hand moved to gently brush against mine, his touch sending a shiver down my spine. "You're full of surprises, Nova," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
I smiled, feeling a mix of satisfaction and excitement. "Just keeping things interesting," I said, my voice a soft, playful tease. "After all, life's too short not to enjoy every moment."
With that, I turned away, making a show of stretching slightly and then casually strolling back to the lounge. I glanced over my shoulder one last time, catching Alexander's eyes. The look in his gaze told me that this moment was far from over and that there were more surprises in store.
Alexander's pov
As I closed the door to my office, I was caught off guard. Before I could even settle into my chair, I was slammed against the wall. My eyes widened in surprise as I saw Nova standing there, her expression a mix of playful confidence and undeniable desire.
Her eyes locked onto mine, and the smirk on her lips was both teasing and challenging. The intensity of her gaze made my heart race, and a surge of anticipation coursed through me. There was no mistaking the hunger in her eyes, and the way she pressed her body against mine made it clear she wasn't just playing games.
I could feel the heat of her breath on my skin as she leaned in closer. My pulse quickened, the magnetic pull between us almost too strong to ignore. It was as if she was daring me to act, and the intensity of the moment left me both excited and slightly apprehensive.
"Nova," I managed to say, my voice husky with a mixture of desire and caution. "If this is what you want, you need to be sure. Because once we start, there's no turning back."
She tilted her head slightly, her eyes narrowing with both challenge and invitation. The proximity of her body, the feel of her warmth against mine-it was almost overwhelming. Her lips were so close that I could almost taste the sweetness of her breath.
"Prove it," she whispered, her voice a sultry murmur that sent a shiver down my spine. Her fingers traced lightly across my chest, sending jolts of electricity through me.
The room seemed to shrink around us, the space between us charged with a palpable tension. Every instinct I had was screaming at me to take her, to give in to the desire that had been building between us for so long. Yet, a part of me held back, knowing that this moment could change everything.
I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. "Are you sure about this?" I asked, my voice barely more than a whisper. "Because once we cross this line, there's no going back. It'll change everything."
Her gaze never wavered, and the smirk on her lips only grew more confident. "I'm sure," she said softly, her voice dripping with both seduction and certainty.
Without another word, I closed the distance between us, my hands sliding around her waist as I pulled her closer. The world outside ceased to exist as I lost myself in the sensation of her body against mine. The fire in her eyes mirrored the heat building between us, and the moment we had been dancing around for so long finally became a reality.
But even in the midst of our desire, a part of me remained aware of the gravity of what we were about to do. This wasn't just about physical attraction; it was about emotions, about the depth of our connection. And as I kissed her, every part of me knew that this was a turning point we couldn't undo.
